I will NOT do any ratings and instead do a point by point discussion of my experience with U-Haul & this move ... 1) Rawdon fellow at the counter was an "ass". Told him the truck was available online Sunday, why did he say it was not ? "Online does NOT reflect the reality". Next customer at the corner store counter was upset because he got NO help getting a trailer and was told to go somewhere else ... 2) when we went to St Jacques - fellow in the garage told us he had nothing to do with the U-Haul, and he was closed on Sunday ... 3) we reserved the 20' truck and it seemed to be with service i.e. NOT necessarily a self-checkout ... 4) called Saturday - the day b4 the rental to ensure we had service = yes and that phone # was the one to call for St-Jacques 5) called that number and left a message = no callback received ...called 1-800 and were told this time it’s a self-checkout 6) on Sunday we did a painful self-checkout (we are senior citizens and hate apps on phones) - message said go to counter & get key !! 7) we found a fellow who works for U-Haul in the back of the garage - fellow in #2 never told us about that $%^&*( 8) $5 charge for blankets and dolly is ridiculous and we refused to use them 9) the brakes on the truck did NOT work well and sometimes when we braked truck geared down and would not gear UP. 10) the best part of the experience was ... it was NOT expensive and the family all helped thanks for listening !! mofojo

carole pBonjour, Je souhaite contester les frais de kilométrage supplémentaires qui m'ont été facturés. Au moment de ma réservation, le point de départ prévu était la ville de Québec. Toutefois, c'est U-Haul qui m'a demandé de récupérer le camion à Saint-Jacques. Ce changement ne venait pas de moi, mais bien de votre organisation. Il est donc tout à fait normal que le kilométrage total soit supérieur à celui prévu initialement, puisque j'ai dû conduire le camion de Saint-Jacques jusqu'à Québec avant même de commencer mon déménagement. Ce kilométrage supplémentaire est directement lié à la modification que vous m'avez imposée et ne devrait donc pas être à ma charge. Par ailleurs, j'ai également payé de ma poche le carburant nécessaire pour effectuer le trajet entre Saint-Jacques et Québec. Je ne vous ai jamais demandé de me rembourser cette dépense. Dans ces circonstances, je considère qu'il n'est ni juste ni raisonnable de me facturer des kilomètres supplémentaires découlant d'un changement décidé par U-Haul. Je vous demande donc de bien vouloir réviser cette facturation et de retirer les frais de kilométrage supplémentaires.
