I recommend not to park trailers entirely on grass. Especially after a period of rain. Behind the hitch you have a jack that needs to rest on something solid such as a concrete pad. Cranking the jack depresses grass and underlying soft ground. The trailer end may not rise high enough to be able to back under with your hitch ball.

Very dangerous. The worker at the Saint Peter’s location in PEI was very helpful. Nothing bad to say about this young man. However the trailer I rented should have never been allowed on the road. It was one of the enclosed trailers. When we returned it, I saw the box move. I started looking at it and saw multiple bolts missing. The box was ready to fall off the frame. I told the worker to put this unit out of service and the reason why. He called his boss to tell him that there is a major issue and it should not be rented. His boss replied “I know, I was there earlier to see if I could fix it but we will need a mechanic”. How is this possible that the manager knew about this yet let the unit continue to be rented out. He put us and other road users at a significant risk.
