The truck I received was in terrible condition. It was extremely dirty inside, with dirt and dust all over the floor, seats, and dashboard. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned before being rented out. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning wasn’t working at all. Driving in scorching heat without AC made the trip very uncomfortable and exhausting. A rental vehicle should be clean, safe, and properly maintained, and this truck failed to meet even the most basic expectations. Overall, this was the worst rental experience I’ve had. I expected a reliable and well-maintained vehicle from U-Haul, but instead received a dirty truck with a major mechanical issue. I hope U-Haul takes better care of its fleet and ensures vehicles are inspected and cleaned before being rented to customers.

AC was inoperative in the truck
Steven DTruck was extremely dirty and the air conditioning didn't work on a day with an extreme heat and air quality advisory in place. The two gentlemen at J&S variety were very friendly and professional.

Melanie CWhen I went to pick up vehicle store clerk began asking me questions that I had just answered using the pre-registration online form then had issues w/applying my credit card to reservation after MC debit card was rejected delaying my departure by about 20 mins because he had to make 2-3 phone calls to have it corrected. When I returned my vehicle I put enough gas in it to fill it up to where it was at when I took it but there records showed differently and were going to charge me an additional $44. for gas. Luckily I had taken a pic of the odometer and gas guage before I left and after I returned and could show them it had as much gas in it as it did when I picked it up. I was also charged $16.00 for collision damage insurance that I didn't ask for but by this time was too tired & frustrated at this point to argue the charge.
