They told me to drop the truck out back and give them the keys. They didn't go over the truck or the mileage or the charges. They also gave me a deer in the headlights stare when I told them the combo lock that was on the back of the the truck when I picked it up at the closed facility was in the drink cup holder. They said "what lock?" I said "The one the Uhaul app said must be turned in with the return or I would be charged $60. That lock." They said they never heard of anything like that. Oh, by the way, Monster Self Storage had a note in the truck when I picked up up asking that I leave the combo lock in the drop box at the rental pick up location, even though the app said I must turn it in at the return location or be charged $60. Not wanting to lose $60, I did not leave it at Monster Self Storage as requested. If they don't want to lose a lock, show up at work and hand me the keys in person. Don't make me try to figure out how to do it on the app, taking photos of my license, etc. I had no idea what my Uhual app login was. I had just been dropped off, abandoned at a closed location that was very dicy. Fortunately I was legally carrying.
