Hours of operation opening at 9am would be great. I would also like to note I have an account and I use the services quite frequently for my business. My credit card information is online yet the person working at the counter does not know where to find it. This would save time if he did and my staff would not get charged on their card for having to supply their card.

CAREY RI am not satisfied with my U-Haul trailer rental experience. When I originally booked the trailer, I explained that I needed it for 2 days or possibly longer. When I arrived to pick it up at Land of Spices in Thunder Bay, I was initially told the trailer was available for only one day. After discussing it, the rental was changed to two days with a return time of approximately 8:00 PM on the second day. On my return trip from Toronto to Thunder Bay, I had an unexpected flat tire between Toronto and Sudbury. I had to replace the tire and then stop at a shop to have the issue fixed. Because of this unexpected delay, my estimated arrival time in Thunder Bay changed to approximately 11:30 PM, making it impossible for me to return the trailer by 8:00 PM. I contacted U-Haul while I was travelling and informed them about the situation. I specifically asked to extend the trailer rental for a third day because of the delay. I understand and accept that I have to pay the rental charge for the third day. However, I was also charged approximately $20 for another day of insurance, bringing the additional charge to approximately $90.34. I did not ask for another day of insurance. I specifically requested only an additional day for the trailer rental. I would like U-Haul to review this additional insurance charge and refund it if it was added unnecessarily. Another issue was the way the situation was handled by the Land of Spices rental location. At around 6:00 PM, they called me asking where the trailer was, even though my scheduled return time was approximately 8:00 PM. I explained that I was still travelling and had experienced a flat tire, but the representative spoke to me in a rude manner. What concerned me even more was that the representative then handed the phone to another customer who was waiting for the trailer because that customer apparently had a reservation for it. I do not understand why I was expected to discuss my rental situation with another customer. My rental agreement, return time, and any scheduling issues should have been handled between U-Haul and me, not between me and another customer. I understand that the other customer had reserved the trailer, and if I had reached Thunder Bay on time, I would have returned it as agreed. However, I was several hours away because of an unexpected tire problem, and I had already contacted U-Haul and explained the situation. There was nothing reasonable I could do while I was still travelling to make the trailer arrive in Thunder Bay by 8:00 PM. I would like U-Haul to review the additional insurance charge and also review how this situation was handled by the rental location. I am not disputing the legitimate third-day trailer rental fee. My concerns are the additional insurance charge that I did not request and the unprofessional customer service I received from the pickup location.
