I was given incorrect information on my insurance and told that I was not covered by Roadstar and in fact I was. This location also closed early at 3 p.m. on Saturday which meant I had to return the trailer one hour early or park it on the street which I felt was an insurance risk that I was unwilling to take. I found to express my concern and was told that this is the way they've been doing it for 8 years and the chances of the trailer being damaged or stolen from the street was equal to the "Earth opening up and swallowing everything up". I requested to drop the trailer off at the North Vancouver location but was denied. This location also has no signage that indicates Uhaul and I could initially not even find the location and had to drive back and forth. I was told that the city was not allowing the location to put up a sign. This location is a mini storage business.

The lone employee working at the U-Haul location was excellent. But not able to process customers effectively because he had no help. Every time he had to hook up a trailer he had to usher everyone out of the office, lock the door, deal with the hook-up, then return to the office. And the computer kept going down. We've rented U-Haul trailers for 4 years as we've moved our son to and from university. U-Haul has been an excellent company to deal with - until this time. The fellow needs a yard man or two. The office needs expanding and another inside person. The computer system needs to run more reliably. Besides that, the trailer leaked and the license plate was semi-disconnected and caused the door to seize in the upright position. I believe U-Haul is an excellent company. Hope this location gets more support.

Was surprised when we received the invoice and there is a $25 cleaning charge which we did clean the truck before we returned. So we are not impressed about the charges.

It took almost two hours to check out my van, as the attendants computer was slow then he told me my res wasn’t set up. No help from him on it. Guy was super rude as well.

With 3 or 4 other locations closer to my house it was a hassle to drive across town to pick up and deliver.

Pretty tricky maneuvering through the tight lot with the trailer, but other than that it was a great experience.

The person working here was very smug and rude. I find it ironic that he has a sign posted in his office stating verbal abuse won’t be tolerated when he is dishing it out. I won’t be back again!

Unclear signage - poor office conditions compared to location on Marine drive - customer service representative was abrasive and not friendly. Will refuse to go to that location again.

Subject: FW: U-Haul Contract 82512938 We question and refute the charge for any damage to the truck. We paid for your insurance policy coverage in case anything should happened during the rental and were told that we would be completely covered in the event. Regarding the damage – I am curious because I don’t remember any action that would have caused it – please send a photograph. But regardless – the BOTTOM LINE is that we paid for insurance so should not have to pay any more. Please respond as soon as possible so we can resolve this issue. Thanks Don Carlson

People will have a different opinion as far as cleanliness. I am only commenting on the fact that my son swept out a dust pan full of debry from the trailer floor. I also did not pay close enough attention to when the lights were checked as when I checked the lights the following morning, I found to marker lights out. I called U-Haul that moment to be told that I need to call road side assistance. I was on my way to Revelstoke and said I would call when I arrived there. When I called from Revelstoke, I was told the service tech was 93 mles away. I didn't have the time to wait that long as it was already 7:00pm and I was getting ready to continue my journey to Alberta. I said that the lights were not a safety issue as I was driving mainly during the day and they were side markers not rear lights. Unfortunately it did cause me to replace a few fuses along the way due to the lights. I inquired about a spare tire and the trailer inspection before I picked up the trailer, especially because it was a long trip through the mountain passes. I was assured that the trailers were always inspected. I found the broken wires which were already corroded from time, which led me to believe that they were not working for a while. This did not ruine my trip, but brought up some concerns. Many places that I was traveling, there was not any cell service, what if I did get a flat tire or really needed help? I had brought provisions in case I got a flat tire ( I am a mechanic by trade) so I wouldn't have that worry. What would have happened with road side assistance then, it was 93 miles from Revelstoke, how far and how long would it be in the middle of a mountain pass? As far as all this goes, the actual rental was fine. I think uhaul made take some of these things into consideration. Thank you

My husband rented the truck on his credit card with his name but somehow my name is showing. He came to pickup the truck himself but still my name remains up to now. My husband wasn't happy with the person who handled his case at the front desk. That individual wasn't helpful at all. He had the pre-conceived perception that each person has electronically booked the trucks before despite the fact that he was ignorant of the procedures himself. He never even bothered to provide any help at all. Luckily the other gentleman who was with him did not display the same arrogance and ignorance. He went out of his way to help. If employees are not happy to serve people they should excuse themselves and stay away from the front desk. I would rather travel slightly further away where the service is good like the Main St. location

Freeway Mini Storage was great. U-Haul app + Truck Share 24/7 is garbage. I booked a vehicle to be picked up at 8am, was never informed that I would have to provide 2 contacts to verify my identity. The U-Haul rep was able to get a hold of one of my contacts, but not the second one, so I provided another contact, but they couldn't be reached either. After a third person couldn't be reached, the U-Haul rep just cut me off with no explanation, no word. I got an automated response saying that I couldn't be rented to. I was forced to stand outside in the cold rain for an hour until the rental facility open. Freezing and behind schedule. Cutting me off was such a disrespectful slap in the face.
