I booked online and did not indicate a return location because I was unsure at the time. When I arrived, I was told that I booked and In Town only rental and that is have to drive 100 miles back to the location or be charged triple the price. This was very disappointing as I move just about every year and always use Uhaul. I will not use them in the future.Katya R.

When I went to return the truck I didn't realize I didn't have my location turned on, on my phone so when I went to the website to follow the prompts one I read everything about following the instructions given and taking pictures and dropping the keys in the box I clicked on the button. Nothing happened, so I did it 3 more times with same outcome. I turned on the truck and took pictures inside and out to show time and mileage and gas then found the key drop and stuck the keys in. Then I thought to check the wifi and Bluetooth on my phone and turned it on then tried the website again and this time when I tried to verify location it went on to the next steps to follow that the previous tries didn't. I called the 1800 u haul # so I could find out how to fix it since I was on time and messed up but didn't want to be charged extra. She gave me a link through text and I did it and she said it was a reverse way to verify that I made it on time. I thought that i was covered. Well the next morning I get an email and was charged for an extra day even though I did return it on time. I'm still upset about it. Should not have charged me an extra day after I dropped it off on time and the customer service rep told me the link would cover it. Not too happy about that.Alicia B.
There was a abs traction control light that I had to ride with for over 500 miles with a full can and a tow in the back but overall after the disaster of a day and a 10 am break on from my original reservation I thought for sure I was going to be heading back to VA without my belongings. Lucky after being sent all over middle GA I finally got my truck and tow and on the road by 5 pm I didn't get back home until 7 am all in 1 piece but barely hanging by fumes.Ailisha P.
I returned the vehicle at the time I paid for and they tried to over charge me by $1,067.35!!! Ridiculous. I had 3200 miles for the length of time I rented the vehicle. I used 2,171 miles of the alloted 3200 miles. It's written right on the agreement. Then they tried to charge me for dropping it off in Huntsville, Al. That was the entire point of renting the vehicle (from Ga. to Al.)!!! I'm not paying these ridiculous, unfounded and unwarranted bogus charges! I wrote a letter to the billing dept. in Phoenix. I did this b/c I was on hold for over 83 minutes! I'll never rent or recommend U-Haul to anyone and will share my experience.JAMES K.

If the truck is over booked for after the time I signed up for and ended up needing more time that is not the customers fault and I should have not been dismissed as I was from the location and when calling the main 1800 number.TERENCE C.

I was never able to talk on the phone with the location i was renting from, but after being on hold for 30 minutes trying to verify equipment, i talked to someone from the 800 number. i asked them to verify the truck and appliance dolly. i am 60 yo, and i was moving my daughter's appliances and furniture by myself. the person on the phone continued to assure me that the location had what i needed. when i went to the location to pick up, the person at the store told me that they haven't had an appliance dolly for days! how can someone verify equipment if they do not check with the store. don't tell the the "system" said they had the dolly. if i cant call the location, how do you just assume the information is accurate. i live in a military town with numerous uhaul locations. i am going to make it a mission of mine to tell as many people i can and in whatever manner i can that you have no control over the reporting of store inventory. i called the 800 rep after i finished moving and received a male who was as clueless as anyone i have ever spoke to. i told him i would like to have someone higher than him contact me and explain why this failure occurred. i know it wont happen, but if you actually record the calls, look it up and possibly respond to me without a robo response!!Mark R.
