Knowing I was traveling to California from Maryland, I was assigned a truck with only a half tank of gas. I had to pay for gas before I left the lot. Also, the autotranspot for my vehicle has a broken strap that secures the tire. I has to go to Autozone and purchase a strap extension that secured the SUV onto the auto transport. UHaul should do better to prepare for customers and, if the trip is across country, at least ensure that the customer starts the journey with a full tank of gas. That was so wrong!!!

This was a convenience store where the clerk was behind bullet proof glass. We ended up here after we went to the location we selected and they said they weren't our pickup location. After going here, first, he said he didn;t have the truck size we reserved. Then after my husband said we were just sent here from another place, he was argumentative, not wanting to use the price on our reservation. Places like this make UHUAL look shady

I had to wait over 30 minutes to pick up the truck and tow dolly. The tow dolly was not hooked up to the truck and I had to drag it about 25 yards to where the truck was parked. The tow dolly's ramps did not lower in order for the car to be driven up on the dolly. The owner advised that I should use 2x4's instead. I did not end up using the tow dolly and returned it. The refund process was difficult as they were unable to refund my money for the dolly. Instead they had to cancel the entire contract and issue me a new one which was just for a 10' truck that was almost as expensive as the first contract with a truck and dolly. I ended up getting the same rate I paid for the truck on the first contract but this event took nearly 2 hours to complete. In addition the trucks right front tire was low on error and the owner refused the fill the tire up as his garage (that he owns) had already closed for the evening. I am totally unsatisfied with U-Haul and this particular location.

My experience has not been great, 4 weeks ago I leased a 26 truck for a move from Maryland to Florida, The truck was nice drove fine but I had to go 26 miles my home address to pick the truck up and it was almost empty of gas, there are over dozen U-haul location in my location area . I used the cruise control almost the whole trip and only got 7-7.2 mpg. The next trip was a 20 foot truck and car towing dolly. Again I had to travel over 20 miles to pick up the truck non were available in my local area it was also low of fuel (GAS) I had to get the U-haul to correct the paper work to show this issue. One of the tow dolly s S hooks that secures under the car was worn off, the light on both side were cracked one was taped on with clear tape. Halfway down to Florida I had to stop in a rainstorm and duct tape the one light on to the dolly. The truck smelled like a gym locker room with a bad case of BO, it had no cruise control which made the 875 mile drive rough. I got under 9 mpg driving at 55 mph with a light load. The truck was ok to drive but would take forever to shift through its gears, it was like it would get stuck in a gear and not want to shift, the tow/haul button had no effect on the truck. When I got to destination and was unload my car off the dolly noted a big bulge in the driver side tire the size of my fist, I call the myhaul .com road side assistance number 1-800—GO-U-HAUL if I was stressed out enough I have to figure out the number to the number in call for help stop be cute and get me a straight number to call. After was seemed like 10,000 option of press 1 for English and then a half dozen of things I get to the roadside assistance option. I now have to wait and be told to please hold you call will be answered in the order it has been received. 20 some mins later I get some guy who has to ask me 20 questions, after what seemed like forever I was able to get to understand my name the dolly number was the issue was a bad tire that I would not move as it was unsafe, where it was located (the street address) not the GPS located he kept asking for me to send him. Later that night a guy showed up and I help him replace the bad tire and turn the dolly in. With that I hope to never have a need to use U-Haul again. The car I towed was a small light weight car If I had to do it again I would use the transport and not a dolly.

I requested a location closer to my home, which would have been more convenient for the move. I requested a location on Smallwood a month in advance. If someone plans ahead, I believe they should get the location they request.

I needed the Uhaul for an extra day and they were great with letting me keep it an extra day with no hassle. Also they showed me great customer service. Would definitely recommend this place.

When I rented this same U-Haul truck on 6-24-2017. The truck was clean and appeared new. In two weeks the truck seemed beat up and un-kept. Truck was extremely dirty. Unfortunately I returned the same way I received it.

I rented a van at around 4pm on Sunday March 26 2017. I told the employee that I should only need it for a hour, but It accidentally too longer then I expected. The store was closing at 6:30 and I called him at like 6:11 or something like that sneaky told him I'll be there in 15 mins. He immediately started screaming at me " we closed we closed what the duck is your problem, park van bring k egg y back tomorrow. Now I see my contract says $38.34 and another charge on my card for $65...why?
