Willy the guy managing U-Haul was very defensive and a dismissive of he was asked a question. He overcharged me on the mileage, said I can’t check you out or give final printout because another person will check out truck this afternoon and you’ll be emailed final amount. I said, No that’s not acceptable I have a right to know what is being charged to my credit card. He then got up and said he would do it now meaning check truck back in - he took forever and we were left standing while he sat in driver seat in truck kept it running and after 5-10 mins I went to driver’s side and said I would appreciate knowing how long this is going to take. He was sooooo rude and just said I’m processing it. I then said can I have the number to call U-Haul, which I did and Sean was very helpful and then offered me the Area Manager, Alex’s phone number that I am going to call. Respectfully,

I have rented many times from U-Haul, and three times from the 1910 James location in Bellingham, Two times the attendant (Wille) has changed my on-line order to opt in to the insurance coverage that I had opted out of. The first time I didn't notice and was charged $45 extra dollars. The second time I watched as he did it, and asked him why, but he would not answer - only stated that he had to read me a disclaimer. The same rental when I returned it, he would no enter the return for me, but insisted that I scan the self-check in QR code and do it myself (which I have never been asked to do when there was an attendant there at the return) The check-in was glitchy and shut down several times, and in the end I had to just give him the keys. Normally the attendant simply says that my receipt will be mailed. Willie went on and on about how I should make sure I take pictures of the gas indicator, millage, cab.... to "make sure there isn't any trouble." It made for a very disconcerting return, and I will likely avoid this location because of it even though it is the closest to my house.
