The check in process was abhorrent
JOHNWALLACE IWhen I made the reservation I did not know (and it was not noted) that the pick up location was not an actual u-haul facility, but a home decorator store that rents parking lot space to u haul. The person at this store was very nice, and informed me that I had to do the entire pick-up process on the u haul app on my phone! Almost impossible to do! I was not in a very good cell location and I had to take pics of myself, both sides of my drivers license, and provide 2 people who they could call to verify it was me! Why do they assume that 2 people would be available to verify my identy? Took 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete this stupid process! NEVER AGAIN! Goodbye U-Haul.....
daniel cHad a terrible experience w the reservation as uhaul changed everything claiming not to have the equipment I ordered and had to change everything by phone which was a nitemare . Next time when I order equipment. Days in advance , have the equiomeht ready . They tried offering larger truck but no good for me bc of size of driveway etc . It was a very distressing experience
Jamie HThe pick up process was horrible. Your app / website are not well designed to be able to access the keys in that box without the help of a human. I had to call customer service and they were on the phone with me for 45 minutes walking me through step-by-step. The van and the box were in a pitch black location. Almost tripped and fell multiple times. Oh, and I was disconnected 3 times before getting a customer service person on the phone. Once I did, that person was very nice and extremely helpful and patient with me.
