I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the condition of the U-Haul truck I recently rented. During our move, we made a brief stop on the side of the highway to use the restroom. When we returned, the truck would not start. After waiting for assistance, it was discovered that the battery terminals had come loose — a basic maintenance issue that clearly should have been addressed before the vehicle was rented out. As a result, we were stranded on a remote highway for nearly two hours, waiting for a mechanic to arrive, identify the issue, and fix it. This was a highly stressful and unsafe situation, especially given the isolated location. Due to this delay, I missed a scheduled ferry, which not only caused significant disruption to my plans but also resulted in financial losses When I rent a vehicle — especially from a company with the reputation of U-Haul — I expect it to be properly inspected, safe, and fully operational. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and the lack of proper vehicle preparation caused real consequences for me. I am therefore requesting a partial refund or credit to compensate for the inconvenience, time lost, and financial impact of this incident. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Cyril PFuel tank was suppose to be full. I fueled up at end of trip and put 12.497 litres in. I travelled 68 kilometres . That works out to be 18.37 Litres per 100 kilometers which is really bad fuel economy or the tank wasn't full. Also requested a regular cargo van because I wanted to park under ground. Instead when I arrive they have an excuse about how the van was broken down and replaced it with a cube van. So I had to carry everything out to the street. not happy.
Andrew DThe new agent at the location was very incompetent. He asked for my name 4 times and still couldn’t find my reservation. I spelt my name for him twice before (while on the phone with your head office) finally spelt it right and found it.
