How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe truck was clean and ready to go. They claimed that the gas was at 0.25 a tank. In reality, it was barely above empty. I put 47 gallons of gas into a 50 gallon gas tank. I have the receipts to prove it.
Peter CThe U-haul trucks are difficult to travel in for long hauls.... there are no options that almost all cars have today that would make the 2,000 mile trip I made a bit more efficient and useful: examples: There is no cruise control (that would help with gas mileage and make it easier to drive); There are NO power locks or windows, I had to pull over, stop the truck, open the door and roll up the window when it started to rain); there are no CD players in these trucks, driving 2K miles without music is hard to take; there is very little room up front for personal items such as a cooler for food, raincoat, hats, my bag with my medicines etc....more space would help; in addition, I am 6'!" and cannot move the seat back for more leg room...a very uncomfortable ride resulted...this Spartan trip was unnecessarily uncomfortable for the entire 4 days it took me to drive the nearly 2,000 miles.
