if it's not customary for the staff to help hook up trailers, I would suggest it . Sending a person off on their own to connect a trailer that required a machine (forklift ) to pick it up, after going back in to ask for help, was not a good experience.

My only issue is with the communication from U-Haul. There are things that weren’t communicated by U-Hail that are very important if one is not familiar with your process. I wasn’t told that I needed to pick up the reservation within an hour. I wasn’t told that the location would be closed. (Location was changed the day before pick up) So when I showed up at 10:30 to pick up my vehicle, the location was closed and the rental email didn’t show any instructions. I had to call the central office number to see what was going on and they informed me that my rental had been canceled but they were easily able to re-activate it and I’d need to download the app to check in and get the key and vehicle. Once I knew what I needed to do it was super easy. This isn’t a reflection on the location, just could’ve used better communication after making the online reservation.
David VThe salesman at the Construction/Shed shop was very helpful. Assisted me with installing my ball and making sure the U-Haul Auto Transport carrier was secure. I learned a lot and now I feel I can do it on my own if need be. Cheers to him.
