I reserved a 15’ truck (one way) 3 weeks in advance. I had received several texts and emails before that date confirming my reservation, but on the pickup day, a few minutes before the pickup time I received a call from Olivia (U-Haul rep) indicating that they didn’t have a 15’ truck for me, until possibly Saturday (original pickup day was Friday) but if I was ok getting a 26’ truck at no extra cost. I told her that I was going to the U-Haul to look at the 26’, but wanted the 15’ held. Once we arrived at U-Haul I was told that the 15’ was no longer available on Saturday, that I had a 26’ reserved, or no truck at all. I was dumbfounded that I made a reservation, but U-Haul didn’t hold the vehicle for me. Making a long distance move is stressful enough, but to this whole experience with U-Haul doubled my stress level. When I showed up on Saturday to pickup the 26’ truck, I was told that I would have to pay for cost of the 26’ truck. I informed them that the U-Haul rep (Olivia) said “at no extra cost”, but was told that her notes didn’t indicate that. By the grace of God, as I we were discussing this, a 15’ one way truck pulled up. We were able to take that truck. This has been a horrible experience for me and my family, and has caused me to physically feel sick from the stress. I really hope that this terrible business practice doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Laura MFound old cereal under Matt of cab, the truck had a high Rev whole time, put 150$ of gas got wasted on reving, lights twitching at night thought someone was breaking into truck. Breaks barely worked truck smelled like chemicals. Lots of play in the steering wheel. Truck also made lots of noises while running
