Since we didn’t have a major credit card, there should be other options to pay. Our representative was able to use a Visa-debit to process the transaction.
Ron PWould have been perfect, except for one small but significant fly in the ointment. As the person who rented the truck, I was (rightly) required to return the truck with a full tank of fuel, which I did. However, after returning the truck and adding up the mileage, it turned out that I'd put 20 miles on the odometer; not a big deal, except when I refueled the truck (a small van), it cost me $42. So u burned maybe five bucks worth of fuel at the most, but ended up paying for whoever the sleaze bag was who had previously rented the truck. It seems this U-Haul location uses an honor system, whereby they don't bother to do anything beyond switching on an ignition key and quickly looking at the fuel guage(?) If this is the case, they need to be more thorough with their methodology, ad this is unacceptable; and so is a dismissive shrug when a customer points it out after the fact. Where it my business, I would have at the very least uttered an apology and offered to partially reimburse the customer (I had the fuel receipt on my person) for failing to provide a truck that had a full tank of fuel. Steve, if you read this, I don't mean any personal disrespect, but just letting me walk out the door with a shrug is NOT how to hold customer trust or repeat business. Please work in this, U-Haul. You should be doing better than this!
Al RThe truck was filthy inside the cab and the box wasn’t swept out. Drop off box was not easy to find. The location is the only good thing about this place.
Terri VExtremely disappointed with U-Haul. They charged me $35 for fuel, claiming I didn't refill the tank, which is completely false. I only drove 15 miles in total and put 6 liters of gas back into the truck before returning it. Yet, they charged me for 15 liters! This is completely unfair and inaccurate. Watch out for these hidden, bogus charges
