It REALLY wasn't the pickup place, but the uhaul company itself. I did everything needed to be done to get it...texted, emails, even a phone call from someone on info as to who would be driving it. However, when we got there, they had the truck but they were clueless as to any info. It took us 30 minutes to get "permission" to take the 3 hour truck to do what I rented it for.
The truck was given to me with a repugnant smell in it and also so tire pressure on the passenger rear tire was low.
This was not our original pick up location. We had to drive an hour to pick up the truck because our original location did not have our reserved truck. This meant that instead of getting our truck at noon it was 4:45 before we had one. Very bad Uhaul service rendered!!
I called Smithfield who told me to come they had the vehicle. After getting there, i found they did not.. They registered me to pick up in Flowertown Plantation store. However the man didn't wish to complete the transaction during pickup. I was told to rreegister again on my mobile in a hot car. This was after registering at another store in Smithfield. I was never given the rate to plan. After 30 minutes the man came to my car and asked if I was done. The website was faulty, therefore I couldn't complete. The buttons on the site would not complete. I went in the guy did my paperwork. Did NOT provide an estimate! During the trip the horn didn't work. I filled the tank up and tried to download the pictures to the site with mileage and gas. The website was faulty and didn't let me download the pictures ??. I saw that the gasoline amount was incorrect and the mileage was almost 100 miles more ??. called the next day but the lady had me on hold so long i hung up. I am amazed at how horrible a service Uhaul gave ??!!!

The Uhaul app 24/7 was difficult to use and took over 30mins. to be able to pick up the truck...had I known I would have done the upfront paperwork in person.
Fix your self-pickup program. I was waiting for about 20-30 minutes before the main store opened and the guy inside was able to help me.
price on the receipt did not match amount charged to credit card
When advised that mileage and fuel were incorrect, I contacted the pickup location and they admitted their mistake to the drop off person. I was told to contact UHaul which straightened it out. Truck was very bouncy when crossing bridges on Interstate.

We had a really good experience with the location but U-Haul 24-7 any time truck pick up was the worst experience we h e ever had with U-Haul nothing worked at all when I tried to use the app to pick up my rented truck and when I tried to use the website my profile would not show my reservation for the truck I rented. This issue caused me to waste 2 hrs on my moving day due to the issues I was having with picking up my truck. I definitely think some time needs to be put in to making sure the app is working properly so no one else runs in to this issue. This problem has definitely made me not want to use U-Haul in the future.

Negative was the reservation was made online and they didn't have it when I arrived. Nor did they carry vans which was what my reservation was for. However they did have a truck for my use. If they were booked I would have been out of luck and it would have cost extra.

Your U-Haul 24/7 system is extremely slow. Won't use that again. The man at the counter was very helpful. I'm glad he was there when I needed the truck.
