This review is for U-Haul, not the drop-off location. The return location was changed without giving us any option to accept or decline. The original location was able to receive the truck, but customer service told us it couldn’t due to a supposed city ordinance limiting the number of returns, which didn’t seem accurate. This isn’t something customers should have to deal with—it’s an internal logistics issue. If a location is at capacity, U-Haul should coordinate the transfer between locations rather than shifting that responsibility onto customers. Better planning and communication around drop-offs would make a big difference. Additionally, the experience would have been far less frustrating if the customer service interaction had been more respectful. The tone came across as somewhat condescending, which only added to the overall dissatisfaction.
