I made a reservation over the phone to use a flat trailer (6x12) from this location. I didn't think it would be practical to rent a trailer locally and pull it both ways of the trip. So I decided to do a one-way as I needed it to haul a small item from Georgia back to SC. I asked them multiple times if it was a one-way rental. I was told that indeed it could be returned at a location in my home state. Upon arrival, I checked in and the price was much higher than what it should have been for a daily rate. The gentleman working said that I had to rent a cargo trailer or a toy hauler for one-way rentals. I explained to him the conversation I had the day before and he would not honor the agreement or price. I had no options but to take the toy hauler for rent as it is a flat trailer some what similar to what I needed, just much larger. This rental cost me at the least 4 times more than it should have. If I wasn't 4 hours from home I would not have rented from them at all. They gave me false information over the phone and should have honored the price that is listed, instead of ripping me off. This is the first negative experience I have ever had at any U-haul location. The only way I will change this review is if they honor the price for the 6x12 flat trailer and refund the balance back to my card.
