Hello, I am currently still dealing with charges for equipment I never received from Uhaul as well as incorrect milage and gas counters. I booked this truck weeks in advance to move my house. When i went to pickup the truck it took 1 extra hour because the verification had an error in the system according to the representative helping us at the pickup location, even after I went through the whole phone verification process successfully and it verified but the rep had to call the office to get approved to give me the key. 1 hour wasted, when we finally got the truck to house I found there was nothing in the truck. It was missing furniture mats, a dolly, and other equpment I desperately needed to move my house. I called Uhaul Customer Service and they gave me a difficult time but I finally got a hold of someone that told me I could physically drive to pickup the mats at another location which I did but nothing else was available. My father and I had to manually load everything. The truck was demolished, no power steering, dents all over, and drove like a piece of garbage on wheels. We finally made it and unloaded the truck, we dropped the truck off and I thought it was finally over, but then I received a bill for $160.00. I called uhaul and spoke to 10 different people who could not tell me what the missing items charges were for. I finally spoke to someone in the regional area named John Rogers and he told me the charge was for the dolly I never received to begin with! I am in shock, I spent hours dealing with this to try to get a refund for the extra charges and it is still not resolved. When I called the main Uhaul office they refunded me $50 as a courtesy but NEVER documented the missing equipment which is why the charges were sent to me. This is all at the fault and laziness of Uhaul employees This is one of the worst experiences I have ever been through in my life, I will be reporting this whole process with emails, recorded calls, pictures of the milage and gas to the better business borough and UHaul corporate officers. I should receive a full refund for this debacle. I will also add the way your support staff talk to customers is an absolute disgrace, I was hung up on 3 different times for trying to explain the situation but your staff continously spoke over me and told me they wouldn't help me if they felt like it. Fatima AThe gentleman who helped us was extremely nice. When he put everything into the system, there was an attempt to charge us an additional $75. He promptly called u-haul and addressed the issue. We made the mistake of not confirming the mileage on the truck to what was on the contract at pickup and were charged for a 5 mile overage. We did this roundtrip in our personal vehicle and cleared the trip at the start. The entire round trip was 192 miles, making it impossible that we went over the allowed 111 miles. I am upset about being charged for overage but obviously had no way to prove it to the gentleman helping us.
