We made our reservation a month and a half before to pick up the trailer in Gastonia which was 3 miles away. The day before we were contacted and told we had to go 2 towns away to pick it up in Dallas nc and instead of a 7AM pick up it changed to 9 AM pick up. This put us way behind .

Only problem I had was the 26 ft truck I reserved was double booked. I had to settle for a 15 ft truck. Luckily there was one available for me to use. I was moving a few miles down the road and the other people were moving further so I agreed to take the smaller truck.

The truck that was reserved wasn't available. The location was changed. We arrived at the new location and again were told that the truck was not available. The customer service rep was very kind and apologetic. She was able to rent us a MUCH larger truck for the same price but that caused issues with extra gas, ease of use for travel and for loading. We will think twice in the future before using uhaul Again.

Make sure to check all equipment for electrical issues, I got the same model rental not once but twice and both time the running lights had issues. The first time one of the lights wassnt secure so it was flickering and the second time the running light didnt come on at all so I had to drive for 3 hours with the flashers one just to make the trailer visible for other drivers safety. Fix it uhaul, fix it!!!!! Also add a lift to the tongue of the trailers, those things are heavy as hell to pick up on and off hitches and off the ground.

Spoke with lady about problem not seeing the computer form to return until I had already took truck and put keys in slit at drop off point. She was going to have supervisor call me but never had a call come to me

I purchased furniture blankets and when we got home and open the truck probably had ten or more blankets just thrown around everywhere. Looks like they may have reimbursed my five dollars by their message attachment but I haven't seen clear my bank. Your taking a chance. Oh yes, NO TIE DOWN S as it days on the back of the truck we had. We furnished our own ropes. Shameful ??

I was overcharged ($100+) and I was told I would be contacted by a district manager to rectify the situation. I haven't been contacted, no refund. As a business owner, is something goes wrong that is not the customers fault, you should rectify it as soon as possible. This location should not have 24/7, it's in the boonies, hard to get a signal to check a truck in. I couldn't. I did the next best thing, called customer service so they can leave a note for the U-Haul dealer that I had returned the truck. That didn't help, still got overcharged.

I wanted to rent an auto transport in addition to the truck and there was one there but couldn't because this location only has one lady working there and she informed me that she couldn't lift the auto transport to connect it to the truck so I was inconvenienced by having to pick the truck up at this location and the auto transport at another location where there were more staff and someone who could connect it. Better staffing and training is needed at these smaller satellite sites.

Your U-Haul Associates for very kind. I did however ask what size U-Haul I needed. I'm thankful that the only size you had was a 29 foot U-Haul. It set all my things perfectly. But when I asked your Associates on the site what size building I needed for a two bedroom apartment they told me that a 12 by 12 building would fit snug that would fit everything in it. However, it was a disaster.I told the Associates everything that I had in my apartment so they would have a good idea what size building and they said a 12 x 12. It didn't fit everything had to be crammed to the top into the end of the door to get most things in. This was on a Sat. They closed at 2:00. It was 4:00 when we realized all of my things were not going to fit I did try to call her to see if I could get another storage building but she didn't answer. My suggestion to them is that your Associates me training on 1 2 3 bedroom apartments or houses so that the next time something like this doesn't happen again. The other suggestion is during the summer time you need to open at 6 or 7 instead of 9am. I'm sure your customers would prefer to move as early as possible because of the Heat. It was tedious. HOT! I will be going there tomorrow to talk to them about this matter. Thank you. Ms. Reynolds

I was told I would be able to return the uhaul to one near me and spent 2 hours speaking to different people trying to figure out how to do so, only to find out it was not possible. It made me late returning it because I had to drive an additional 27 miles back and in turn caused me to go over the miles I rented it for and charged me an additional day. I now have a promissory note for $95.79 which is absolutely ridiculous after the run around I was put through.

The battery died after traveling less than one mile. This put my move back by 2 hours which made me have to continue moving in the dark. I should have asked for a refund or discount.
