I want to give 5 stars to the local staff, but 1 star to U-Haul corporate for fleet maintenance. The man and woman working at this location were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me. I can't thank them enough. However, the first 20ft truck they gave me for my move from NC to Florida was unsafe. It had over 166,000 miles, shook violently, was out of alignment, and sounded like a jet engine on my 10-minute drive home. Once parked, I noticed it was actively leaking oil. When I called the store, the amazing local staff immediately helped me swap it for a brand new 2026 model with only 40,000 miles at a nearby location, which handled perfectly. U-Haul corporate needs to properly service their fleet, maintain alignments, and check for oil leaks so their customers can stay safe on long-distance highway drives. Five stars for the employees, but corporate needs to do better with vehicle safety.
