Thought charges for 1 day rental was a little excessive.....advertised at 19.95 a day...

U-Haul employee said he tighted the hitch to the ball and failed to do so. Trailer ended up damaging my tailgate on my truck when we went to load the vehicle on the trailer.

It was a very cold day. The truck was parked in the back and covered with ice and show. It was started only a few minutes before we took it. My husband had to scrape and clear the windshield. When we got to our place, the back door to the truck was frozen shut and he had to use a crowbar to get it open. Bottom line, the truck was not ready to be rented and my husband was left with the work of getting the windows cleared and the back door open. This should have all been done before sending us off with the truck.
