I hate giving negative reviews but this was easily one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I wouldn’t spend my Saturday evening writing this review for something small. We arrived to pick up our truck before 2:00 PM, only to find that the location had closed early with absolutely no notice. We then wasted over an hour trying to figure out how to complete the remote pickup, access the lockbox, and get the key. There was no one at the location to help, and the entire process was unnecessarily frustrating, especially when you’re in the middle of a move and working on a tight schedule with an elevator reservation and friends waiting to help. Once we finally got the truck, things didn’t improve. There was no hand truck or dolly in the vehicle, despite needing one for the move and originally putting it into the reservation. The truck itself was extremely worn down and clearly had seen better days. The interior smelled bad, felt filthy, and generally seemed poorly maintained. Looking around the location, the other vehicles also appeared old and heavily worn, which did not inspire much confidence. The building itself looked even worse, like an abandoned warehouse. Overall, this location was awful. Poor communication, nonexistent customer support, missing equipment, and old, dirty vehicles. Closing early without notifying customers who have reservations is completely unacceptable with no phone number to call. I called once it rang and no one picked up, I called again immediately and the phone number was disconnected! I couldn’t believe it. I would strongly recommend using a different U-Haul location or another rental company altogether like Home Depot.

Jorge MI didn’t even rent this U-Haul. Yet they rented to some in my name. I called to let them know they said they’d fix it. No fixes , someone was able to rent in my name, they also exposed all of my personal information including home address phone number and email. None of them seem to care.
