Unfortunately, we had a very frustrating experience picking up our U-Haul. We arrived and were given the keys, only to find that the back of the truck was secured with a padlock. When we asked for the code, the store employee went back and forth several times trying different codes without explaining what was happening. He then attempted to break the lock with a hammer, which left it unable to open at all. We were then asked to drive the truck around the back of the store so he could remove the padlock with an angle grinder. The whole situation wasted around an hour of our moving day and could have easily been avoided if the truck had been properly checked and prepared before pickup.
