My experience was terrific, I had the 20' truck for 4 days and everything went very smooth thank you UHaul!

Very much out of the way and I ended up incurring a fee for overage miles because I had to drive so far out of the way to get gas upon return!!

Was quick and prompt but Franchisee offered no assistance in hooking up the trailer.

The Durham, CT location was great, however I was supposed to pick up the trailer on Whalley Ave in New Haven, CT and that facility treated me very poorly and the employees were rude.
RYAN H. on
The truck's door did not close properly. It was a brand new truck, so it wasn't the location's fault.
RYAN H. on
Have more trucks at this location given how helpful the staff are.

I have used Uhaul for years. The only complaint I have this time is with the cost. I believe $1,100.00 for a one way trip that was less than 400 miles is very overpriced. They really need to make this more affordable.

Out of the way. No major road access.
Wiliiam M. on
Offered no help parking or disconnecting trailer from vehicle

Left with 3/4 tank of gas and was expected to return with same. Though there were instructions with the contract I did not have it with me when refilling to determine. Would be easier to just have everyone fill it to full on return

wasn't interested in helping me get my car off the tow trailer and didn't help me retrieve the money back for the extra miles I bought

The man who waited on me was friendly and courteous, however the inside of the truck was gross (used cough drop sitting in the cup holder, ash tray full, dirt all over dashboard), and I was not happy that when I arrived to pick the truck up there was a ton of snow all over it and blocking the front of it. I had to use my own snow brush and part of a broom to dust the whole thing off myself, and when i asked the attendant for a shovel, he gave me a broom and did not help. I was soaked by the time I got it all done, and then had to "rock" a 14 foot truck back and forth to get it over the snow bank in front of it. The "round trip" truck parked right next to it was all dusted off and clear of snow. I will be calling Uhaul tomorrow when it is open. I get that "one way" rentals are a drag but with Uhauls business they are very common.

This location is at a country store. I had forgotten to purchase an adapter for my truck and there were no accessories there to buy.

One trailer. Leaked. Personnel could not find drop off location. Contents wet upon arrival in Maine.

Pickup location many miles from my home, very inconvenient. When I booked the truck I asked for a 17 ft. and recieved a 14 ft. truck which was too small for everything. The booking agent quoted me $89 for the truck and I was billed $130. Very disappointed with your entire system.

Make sure the computer is working. I did the express checkout the night before and had to do reservation all over again.

truck was ready on time...very good experience

Be sure the agent checks that all the lights work before leaving with the trailers!

This location was very slow. He keep leaving us to deal with other customers or vendors. When I spoke with your agent on the phone (national number), I was told the pickup location would have the hitch ball I could purchase. They did not and lucky for us I decided to pickup one at Wal-mart, thinking it might be cheeper. I did ask for a wrench to tighten it up and He did not have any tools on sight. We had to go some 2 or so miles back down the road and found a nice motorcycle shop that let us go through their tool box to find what we needed. The over all pickup experence delayed us a little over an hour.

Wish we could have picked up our equipment there.

Be able to provide guidance on hooking up trailers...

The service was very slow. This is a convenience store and a uhaul rental facility. There was only one person working for both, so anytime someone needed to check out from the convenience store, we had to wait to finish our transaction.

Checking in took longer than 20 minutes. No instructions / help with installation. The trailer was not watertight, water leaks inside after driving through light rain.
Rachel H. on
Overall the experience was excellent, but it was very annoying that the pick up location was 15 miles from the one I had chosen. Besides that, everything was great.

I am be a bit grumpy about this location because, after reserving a truck in Waterbury, I was obligated to o 40 miles out of my way (and of course, pay for the extra fuel) to pick up at this out-of-the-way spot instead.
