Dear Uhaul, I am writing to you to file a complaint about the service and the unprofessional behavior of the mechanics working,,, that I was treated to at your dealer Neighbor Auto. Upon returning the van I was asked for a gas receipt and I explained to Jeff that the van was still full and I only put 11-15 miles on the van. As I pondered in disbelief as to why I have to "top-off" gasoline if the gas gauge indicates it was still full?? Another gentleman blurted out that I had to pay $90.00 if I didn't validate the gas tank was filled with a GAS RECEIPT. While Jeff turned his attention to another customer, I asked for the keys and I went and put 1.5 gallons of gasoline in the van which came out to $5.40. I was so frustrated for several reasons. I expressed my frustration to Jeff and by this time the conversation drawled the attention of several mechanics and the 3 of them weighed in on the issue and I was told to "have a nice day". I LEFT THE PREMISE!! I will have a "nice day" because I will NEVER do business with Uhaul again. This is a corporate/national account and I have been a loyal customer of your company for 12 plus years both personal and professionally. I will speak with my corporate office about my mistreatment because my company stands for Customer Service and I have been awarded and recognized by my leaders for being the epitome of this standard and expectation. "The Customers is always Right even when they are Wrong." Why was I told by your representative I would be charged 90.00 for a gallon of gasoline? Why didn't Jeff come out and check the gas gauge and do an inspection of the vehicle if he did not believe me, the customer? Why did I feel singled out? I was appalled at such behavior, I hope you would look into the matter, and make sure such an incident is not repeated. Your company has been known to provide good services, and such events tarnish the company name, so please address this issue soon.

The location had a 24/7 drop box. This should be included on your website.. If I had not gone over to pre-check the location for the drop I would have had to wait until Monday as they are closed on Sunday..

The only thing I could think of would be to say lower your prices but in all fairness your pricing is reasonable. The fellow at Neighbors Auto is Barry he was very helpful and patient with me and took the time to explain everything so it was a good experience.

Hi, the store added the damage protection without asking my opinion and the manager insisted I requested when I made a reservation. Because of the incident, I needed to drive 10 miles back to the store and modify my contract. Kindly inform you that please read carefully before you sign the receipt. One good thing is the Van was excellent.

The mileage must have been miscalculated as I had to bypass parkways. I was listed as 15 miles over. How is this possible? In addition, I returned the vehicle with more gas than necessary, but no credit was given. Unacceptable.

The help was fine and friendly. Only issue was that he didn't put the dolly or the blankets on the truck. Fortunately I had a dolly of my own. Had to work without the blankets though but no issues.

I rented a truck using my app and when I went to pick it up at 7pm the truck that I was supposed to get was blocked by a white van I guess the owner of the shop rent parking spot also but don’t tell them where to park Also U-Haul did not offered me any compensation for this so I was forced to miss work the following day in order to do what I was supposed to do that night U-Haul did not offered me any compensation I’ll never recommend them or U-Haul for that matter
