I arrived to use the self check in 15 minutes before the 11:00 am online contract time. The app showed I did not have a reservation. I called the number on the reservation and did not receive an answer or call back. I called the 800 Uhaul customer service number and was advised the owner was on her way in to the store. I was not very happy because I have had other Uhaul reservations unfulfilled in the past. The store employee arrived at 11:45 and complained about being sick and was talking to another customer about how people just had to have their trucks and don't care about people not feeling well. While I do feel sorry for the employee being ill, there should be someone else available to come in when illness occurs. I scheduled people to help move and our schedules are as important as the employee's. However, this was only the first issue. The 17 foot truck I reserved was not available. I haven't used Uhaul in 20 years because the last time I tried to rent I was given a truck 10 foot shorter than I reserved. I was offered a $50 discount for having the wrong truck per the online contract rules. I wanted free mileage for the hour delay because I had everyone standing around unable to move. The employee refused because Uhaul would not allow it. I completed the move and brought the truck back by 3:00 pm. I filled the truck up at the store and attempted to return the truck but the door was locked. The employee would not have opened the door if it were not for a person needing to pay cash for gas at the pumps. I told her I would like to return the truck and she said the office was closed. i told her the contract and sign said the office was open until 5:00 pm. She said I was incorrect they closed at 2:00 pm. I said I would like to return the truck per contract and she complained but still returned the truck. Per my online contract I opted out of the insurance. However the employee charged me $14 for insurance during this mess of a transaction. I would like someone from corporate Uhaul to call me at 304-657-1052 to refund the $14 fee for insurance at the very least, or more appropriately the full $45.08 for the delay in service, strange employee experience, wrong truck, and charging me for extras I did not agree to when contracting the truck on line.

I was re-assigned to pick up my rental at this location since my original Bridgeport location did not have a truck. This location was to be open at 11:00 am on Sunday morning 8/13. I arrived at 10:50am and waited until 11:40am for the facility to open and for the returning trucks to be checked in. At first the attendant did not seem very pleasant but after the dust settled of getting in late and checking in multiple trucks the attitude did improve.Thankfully I was put in a new truck so it didn't need to have anything done to it. Finally at 12:00 noon I was on my way with the rental truck. To improve.... Make sure locations are open on time even if a personal event from the day before occurs!

Location opened 45 mins late. There were several people waiting so it took quite awhile to get the equipment. Also the appliance dolly was unusable because the roller belt was not functional and it was missing the rubber protector to prevent scratches.

Upon arriving at the location I was moving my son to, I found out there was a U-Haul site only a couple miles away. Instead, I was directed to a site almost an hour away. Its location required backtracking for me to make my way home that evening. In addition to the three extra hours it added to my day, I ended up paying for an extra day's rental as I would have been, at best, a few minutes over my scheduled arrival time. The return site was fine, but booking me to that location was costly to me.

I called the lady the day before moving to get instructions and directions for the drop off. She was so kind and helpful. I had quite a few questions, as this was my first big move, and she patiently answered them all, as well has hold a small conversation with me about my new town. As a retail store manager, customer service is a big thing for me, and she was one of the most genuine interactions I have ever had. I always would like to thank for, simply just for her kindness and patience with me, that is very rare these days. She was working at 4pm on Friday July 21st. I do not know her name, but she is just wondeful!

No uhaul was available even after we reserved one, drove to another location to pick it up, other location was horrible, associate was 40 minutes late. Had to pay extra for the extra mileage

Had my pick up time at 6:30 am. Got called early on the week and told it would be at this location, rather than the location I had selected. I understand it happens that one place doesn't have the truck I need. It happens. However, they failed to tell me that the early pick up option was not available at this location. They waited too the day before to call and tell me I had to come in at 9 when they opened. Got there at 9:10 so they would have time to open and get things ready. Store was CLOSED! Called the number I was called from the day before and it went to do district manager who said "she's probably running a little late." Then two other groups showed up for rentals. At 9:45 she rolled in with a fountain drink, so she had time to stop for that, and proceeded to take the person last in line first! Still waiting to get my truck that I need to load at two places in two different states, and then drive to a third place, IN A THIRD STATE. I'm never using this uhaul again.

The dealer had some issues with the computer and it took a very long time to pickup the truck. The office was heavy of cigarette smoke. The back door of the truck was frozen shut and it took them a long time to get it open. The interior was muddy and the dash sticky. Trash remained behind the seat from a previous rental. The hand truck I reserved was not on the truck. My move was coordinated on a tight schedule with 5 different parties involved. It would have been much less frustrating if these items had been addressed prior to my arrival to expedite my pickup.

The lady assisting was nice however the vehicle I towed was not secured properly with the assistance of the attendant there. She told.me the straps were to small tp fit my vehicle but just drive carefully. Called 800 number and the 'manager' Nancy had no care about the situation at all. Promised a call back that was never given. I have rented from UHAUL at least 1x a year and this was the worst experience I have ever had. Never rented automobile transport before.. Staff not knowledgeable about products.
