Your reservation system is terrible! I made my reservation to pick up the unit at one location, only to find out they didn't have it and had to drive another 45 minute each way to pick it up. That cost me a total of 3 hours on the whole job. I will not use Uhaul again! Fix your reservation system!

service was fine however, the tires on my truck were bald!! i didnt realize it intil 1/2 way into the trip. very concering to me since i had my 6 yr old son with me and we were going up to the snow. leads me to wonder how much maintenance is done on the vehicles to keep them safe? Tires are the most obvious, i feel like i just traveled with my son in a deathtrap! fyi, i have pictures of the tires. i would be glad to send them to you would like.

Horrible service and charged me - ripped me off -for $9 on a gas charge when the gauge exactly the same. 40 minutes computer time at checkout for a 24 hour rental? Come on- ridiculous. They would not answer the phone- refused and hung up on me when I asked to talk to the owner. Will YELP a terrible review and submit written complaint to corporate . If I don’t get my $9 back for bogus gas charge considering small claims court. Very unprofessional check out. Stay away from this place.

There was no attendant available to help with the hookup but everything went well with no issues. The desk person was friendly and helpful.

The girl in the front office was incredibly polite and as helpful as it was possible for her to be. The trailer, however, almost killed us. The brake was impossible to engage and the parking spots for the trailers are on an incline. We were nearly run over by the trailer when we disconnected it from our vehicle. I called the girl from the front office and she came out back to help us. We had to take a brick holding down a tarp nearby to put under one of the wheels. Fortunately we had secured the trailer by the time she got back to us.

To whom it may concern... Approximately 1 month ago I reserved a 5'x8' enclosed trailer from your dealer on Murray Ave. in Gilroy, Ca. When I was asked by the person what size and type trailer I wanted to reserve, I told him that I wanted one "just like the one I rented last time, a few months ago". He confirmed that he had looked up the rental, and that he had indeed reserved the same enclosed trailer as before. On 11/16/17 I called the store located at 8284 C Murray Ave. to make sure that the trailer was ready for pick up. The gentleman "Will" told me that he had my 5'x8' open trailer ready to go. I explained to him that I could not take my son's 10k wheelchair in an open trailer in the rain on our trip and that we needed another solution. He promised to "see what he could do" and call me back. Instead of Will calling back, I received a call from "Alice" at a 510 number who told me that I would have to drive over the hill from Gilroy to get a comparable trailer in Watsonville. She said that she was a "Regional" representative. I asked if I would be compensated in any way for the mistake. She replied that "we don't rent trailers for free sir". I asked if I could at least return it somewhere closer to my home. She said "No, you have to take it back where you picked it up". Having no other choice, I rescheduled my afternoon appointments and went to get the trailer at the store in Watsonville. I was waited on by a very nice young lady named "Maria". She asked if I would be returning it on Monday as per the reservation, I promised to try but did not think it likely due to the distance between my home in Morgan Hill and Watsonville. She said she would request that I get an extra day on my rental since the mistake was not any fault of mine. On the way home from Southern California yesterday, I got a call from "Alycia", asking when I would be there with the trailer because it was due to go out. I related my conversation with Maria to her and she claimed to have no knowledge of any agreements and no notes in the system. She then called several more times up to and including 5 minutes before I got back with the trailer at noon today. She charged me an extra day and sent me on my way. Make sure you have a truck available that a customer request 7 weeks prior. My truck was not there and I was paying movers to stand around. I was supposed to pick it up at a different location and those people were rude and even threatened my wife. It was a smog station/ U-Haul agent. The truck used 87 gallons of fuel to go 265 miles. They gave me a discount because of the mistake but when somebody's moving in my house the same day it kind of makes an embarrassing situation. I ended up losing the house I was planning on renting cuz I got into Carson City the next day which I was supposed to be there prior! I ended up staying in the hotel a week and a half longer than I wanted to. At least you homemade it right and let me keep the truck so I wouldn't have to unload all my stuff into a storage. But this really cost me a lot of money and time.
