I am not sure if the problem was the location's fault or U-Haul's, but my reservation was not fulfilled. I reserved a 15' truck, appliance dolly, and furniture pads about a week in advance through U-Haul's website. I then downloaded and registered with U-Haul through its app. I never received any notice that some/all of these were not available at this location. When I showed up, the location only had the truck, and I was told the location never has appliance dollies or furniture pads. The location should get credit for contacting their sister location to arrange for me to pick up an appliance dolly (but not any furniture pads, which were not at the second location either), and the truck was clean with a full tank, but I do not understand what the purpose of the reservation system is if it both allows reservations for equipment that is not at a specific location and customers are not given any notice that the reservation is not going to be fulfilled. Additionally, I had to pay for additional mileage I would not otherwise have incurred because I had to drive the opposite direction of my destination to pick up the appliance dolly. When I contacted customer service (corporate, not this location), they just refunded the furniture pad fee and did not address the mileage.

Unfortunately, the truck and equipment I reserved were not available but Jonathan at the front desk said his team would be able to discount the rental and provided me with a 15 foot truck that had a broken A/C system. They do not carry the appliance dollys so these should not be listed as a available at this location. Please provide a discount or refund for the truck service.
