Agent did not know the services that were sold and could not explain the charges. Waisted time picking up and dropping off. I was also miss charged because the agent miss informed me.

This is NOT a full-service U-Haul center. It is a gas station that rents a few trucks on the side. Everything was ok or so we thought until the return. It was AWFUL! The return ruined the entire experience. There is nothing in the agreement about a specific parking space to park the vehicle when returning. The U-Haul parking area is very small and in a very busy high traffic entrance area for cars coming into the fuel station. There is no room to pull in and safely turn this full-size truck around to back into a parking place. There are no back up cameras on this truck. Basically, you would be blindly backing up into one-way incoming traffic with a large truck. I pulled straight into the parking area. An Indian lady maybe mid 40's came out YELLNG AND SCREAMNG at me that I MUST park the vehicle exactly as I found it. There is NOTHING in the contract or elsewhere that states this. However, I told her if she would block the entrance to the gas station for a few moments to give me time and space to back up the truck, turn around, and back up into the parking space safely, I would do it. She kept saying ok but refused to stop the cars from entering and continued SCREAMNG at me about it. I again asked her to stop traffic from entering to make it safe and I would turn the truck around. She refused stating that she was pregnant and it was too hot for her to block the driveway. I again explained it was not safe for me to back up into this high traffic area without assistance. She went inside and I left the truck where it was. We had trouble with the U-Haul app. I don't recommend using it. We reluctantly went inside to ask for help and she refused. We went back and forth. She finally started to help and said there is a late charge. We rented the truck for $29 for the DAY! We left at 8:30am (due to issues with the U-Haul app) and returned just before 3:00pm. She finally let that go and went on to fuel. She said there was a fuel charge. We drove the truck exactly 13 miles total and put a few gallons in before return. When we picked up the truck, it was facing out and on a downhill slope. I parked the truck facing in and on an uphill slope. The gas gauge may have been a hair off but that was due to the tank only at 1/4 and on a slope in the opposite direction. She charged me $8.00. To deescalate the hostile argument going on between this woman, myself and my wife I agreed to it. Lesson learned, I should have INSISTED we leave on a full tank and return it full. No matter of opinion, if, and, or buts about it. Never again! Next thing, the lady refused to give her name when asked. My wife took her picture to be part of a customer service complaint to U-Haul about her unprofessional conduct and she went off. Yelling and screaming about we can't take her picture in public, and she is calling the police on us if we don't delete it. Funny thing is that we did some research on this place on the internet and her picture was right there for everyone to see! I would only rent from a legit U-Haul location and not a 3rd party contractor like this.
Steve SThe UHaul app was not clear. It seemed to suggest that we needed to present my driver's license and credit card to the person at the pickup location. It also wasn't clear that the app wouldn't work until the pick up time. It just failed silently. Then the person at the pickup location was rude.

Uday UThe costumer service is very poor. The woman there—I don't know, maybe she's a manager—speaks disrespectfully to the customer; she shouts and refuses to answer questions. Her only response is to call directly U Haul. They are charging over price with out explanation.. But before they are promised price more than $100 less . Don’t be surprise when you see your bill.
