This was a pretty frustrating experience from the beginning. Since the location was closed on Sunday, I had to use the app to pick up my truck. The app wasn’t working, so I couldn’t complete the check-in. I ended up having to call customer service, sat on hold forever waiting for someone to answer, and by the time everything was finally sorted out, it had taken over an hour just to get my truck. When I finally got the truck, there was no dolly at all, even though I had reserved and paid for one. Customer service told me they would remove the charge from my bill, but they never did. On top of that, the truck sounded like it had mechanical issues. When I called customer service, the representative told me the truck hadn’t gone through its required inspection. She tried to switch me to another truck, but there were no keys in any of the lockboxes at that location. The only other option was to send me to another location, but after I’d already spent over an hour trying to pick up this truck, I didn’t have time to start the process all over again somewhere else. Not having the dolly made my move take nearly twice as long because we had to move everything by hand. Between the app not working, the hour-long pickup, the long customer service wait, the missing dolly, the truck that hadn’t even been inspected, and still being charged for equipment I never received, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. I feel like I should have been compensated for everything I had to deal with.
