I arrive to pick up my vehicle I ordered a week before. I was then told my size truck is not available. Because I was on a time frame and had movers scheduled to help with my move, I asked what do you have available? He stated the larger one for 39.99. Ok... have no choice, ring me up. I finish up the move, take it to get gas and let it fill up till it clicks off. Full. I did not receive the truck full. Next day I have a charge for $189 on my account. I look at the receipt and it shows I have $35 in fuel costs stating it was 6 gallons short along with a $20 after hours fee. $60 in mileage. What a joke. I also hired movers for the heavy stuff for $175. If I was going to get a $189 fee to rent a truck to go from Streamwood to bloomingdale (20 minute drive) I should have just hired a moving company for all of it. Almost $400 total for a 20 minute drive. No call prior stating my truck was not available. No discount for the inconvenience of having to go up a size.. Improper charges. Just crazy. I've used U-Haul SO many times with no issues and this was just plain out wrong.

Laurent SThe person who assisted me was unprofessional. I asked them to swap my equipment for a better unit that was available on-site—since I was facing a long trip and one of the unit's tires was not in the best condition—but I did not feel safe making the journey. I also asked for help hitching the equipment, but they refused to assist me and made me call customer service instead; however, customer service was unable to help either. I do not recommend this location.
