The night before my rental, my pickup was moved an hour away (Kentville to Granville Ferry, NS) due to truck damage - understandable but inconvenient. Since I was moving to Kentville, I asked the staff if I could drop off there instead of driving back, which would add 2 extra hours to my trip. She confirmed verbally that this was fine. Their printer was broken, so I never saw or signed the contract. After my rental, U-Haul charged me $300 for "incorrect drop-off." Both U-Haul customer service and the regional manager refused to refund it, citing "the contract doesn't say Kentville". I specifically asked to avoid this exact situation. U-Haul should have refunded the charge and maybe retrained staff on verifying drop-off locations, instead of penalizing a customer for following their employee's instructions. Not sure what I should have done in this situation: if their printer didn't work, should I have refused service? And not be able to move when that was my 1 day to be out of my house? I don't understand how a business can treat customers like this and expect to retain future business. Very disappointed. Will seek and recommend alternative arrangements for any future rental needs.

It's already perfect
GAIL BTruck was not at pick up location. Was 9 hpurs late. After 3 wasted trips to get truck and wasted fuel. Had to rescedule moving crew 3 times. Had to rescedule ferry tickets twice due to late tuck. Was a terrible experince and will never use this company agian and will never reccomend this company. Only help was the employee at the pick up location who went above and beyond to help me. Anyone from uhaul i talked to had no sympathy about what i had to go through to get a moving truck. Even asked one peraon about a dicount bc of my bad experince and all they dis was ignore my queston. Uhaul gets a 0 of of 10 rating. For improving for the next customer uhaul itself needs to make sure truck is avilable that they promise to people
