Upon arrival I did not know where to park my personal vehicle in order to pick up the U-Haul for the day. Instructions not clear at all. The truck was dirty when I got it (food crumbs, someone’s water bottle left behind, back not swept out). I have had a recent back injury and ordered three different dollies to help me move my furniture better and none of them were in the truck, yet I was charged for all three even after reporting I hadn’t received them during my self-pickup. I also didn’t have the moving pads that were supposed to be in there either. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the location because of how confusing the parking situation was and how dirty the truck was and that U-Haul still charged me for things I didn’t even get to use to help me with my move because the items weren’t provided. It was a just a stressful experience and I’ve rented a uhaul before with no issue. I would not recommend using the self-pick up option outside of business hours because if you don’t have your equipment, you’re screwed out of your money anyway.

Nothing. Everyone was helpful and the app is easy to get everything you need
Melissa SSee above comments. My advice is not to ever use UHaul again. They have gone down in customer service as they went up in price! The trailers dont have front jack stands or supports and are not customer friendly. A 30 minute pickup turned into a half day affair. Communications between dealers id poor at best. Maybe UHaul has gotten too big too fast and lost sight of why people use them. The ease of using UHaul is gone away!
George SNothing against the location but the 26’ truck I rented had no gas so I had to immediately come out of pocket $60 for gas. When I got the truck on 264 headed to Washington NC to pick up my furnishings, the truck would not go faster than 40 mph - empty (no furniture inside). I called a reported this to both the place where I rented and traffic. I was told to bring the truck back to Albemarle Ave in Greenville but could not since I was already over halfway to Washington NC and had to be out of the residence by 5 PM. The helpers I was paying wasn’t going to wait for me to turn around and go back to Greenville to wait on another truck (God knows how long that would have been.
Wanda JWe were originally supposed to take it to another location but there was no place to leave the truck. We called the main number and were redirected to the Albemarle location. There were a few trucks there but no building or place to leave the key. A young woman pulled up in her personal car and said that she knew the owner of the lot. She seemed to know what she was doing. She took a picture of the dashboard to send off. She took the key and deposited it across the street. I also took a picture of the dashboard and was surprised to learn that I was being charged for not having enough gas and my picture clearly shows one quarter tank, which is what we started with. I believe this is wrong and unfair. I will be happy to forward my picture to you.
