I spoke with guy earlier in day about the distance I was travelling and traffic was an issue. Guy Said it was okay as he would be there til 7:30. He contacted me Shortly after 7 as I was readying to bring truck back and I questioned which location is closer...again referred to what felt like across town. I told guy on my way and stopped for gas. I found the place by a sign on the side of a small variety store. It was closed and he had left knowing I was on my way and he didn't think to call me to find out how close I was. Once checked vehicle in I was being charged extra. However I spoke with Head Office and they were able to correct the matter and issue back my full refund. I will not be using small uhaul locations anymore and will use main Uhaul centres!Marcia R.

The cargo was dirty. The floor was sticky and smelt of beer. There was no equipment there that I had ordered (No appliance dolly And no furniture pads). Disputed the amount that was due and still have not received a call back To discuss the matter.Paul T.

HI, this may have nothing to do with the location but I requested two dollies to use during move day and the U-Haul did not have them when I picked up â€” I was sent to a U-Haul location in my city to pick up some rental dollies and when I arrived, they were also out. It was a waste of my time. The move took me twice as long as I expected without dollies and when I went to extend my rental time (drop off was 9pm) I could not find any option for that online or logging into my account or by asking the online help person â€” I sat on the phone on hold trying to reach someone for an hour and finally gave up. So overall, not a great experience with U-Haul.Eva S.

Ive rented several Uhaul vechiles and never had a problem until now. Shaw's Variety rented me a truck that hardly drove and was dirty. I get the bill almost a week later and it was for $122 because he included insurance, a dolly rental and a furniture pad rental. I did not ask for any of those things and they were not even in yhe truck anyhow. That truck should not be on the road and Shaws needs to stop trying to scam.Victoria S.

1. Truck booked was not available. So we had to take a smaller truck. Now U-haul says I have to pay for the extra fuel and mileage because we had to make 2 trips. In other words, U-HAUL SAYS IT IS MY FAULT THAT THE TRUCK I BOOKED 2 WEEKS AHEAD WAS NOT THERE. 2. U-haul is charging me a wrong destination fee. I HAVE EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS TO PROVE THAT U-HAUL--after they changed my pick up destination 3 TIMES!!!--told me to TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO CALEDONIA. What in the name of all that is righteous are you guys doing? What a bunch of screw-ups. 3. Cab of the INCORRECT TRUCK that I was forced to take (5 ft. shorter than the truck I booked) had a lot of garbage left in it. Mostly food wrappers. 4. The gentleman who gave me the key and contract ALSO GAVE ME THE NAME OF THE CUSTOMER WHO REFUSED TO BRING MY TRUCK BACK (the truck I had booked.) Was I supposed to go to Tammy Bouchard's house and take the truck myself?John W.

We made our order online and been told it's guaranteed size truck and location ,unfortunately we had few calls from U-Haul that 20â€ truck is unavailable in this location, we asked for smaller one they said they don't have either ,we have to pick up way so far from our chooses location ,than on pick up days,we got another call from U-Haul they said our truck located in this location,very disorganized and confused.Anatolii K.

I have used uhaul a ton of times And this is the WORST experience! He was so rude and called me a liar! I was told because I was only going 2KM, that I could pay a $50 deposit..but when we got there,he wouldn't let us leave without $100! Fine. We paid it! THEN HE QUOTES ME $65 AND 10 MILES!! I'm literally moving down the street. I was told from TWO other uhauls it would be NO MORE THAN $50! INCLUDING GAS! I'm good at math and that is right! $29.95 for truck, .69 a km (we drove 2.5), and no more than $6 gas!! My husband went to pay yesterday and IT'S $77!!!!!!! HE CHARGED ME FOR 10 MILES AND I DROVE 2.5KM!!!!! HOW IS THIS FAIR! I DESERVE MY $20 BACK! I USE YOU GUYS AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR, AND IF I DONT GET MY MONEY BACK..IM TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!! This isn't customer service!! I am scrapping by in life And with him charging me so much extra I can't afford bus tickets now this week to get my daughter to her new school and walking is almost impossible with 3 autoimmune diseases!!!!
