The truck was very clean, the transmission was horrible! At times I was nervous to drive it! Also, I drove 20 miles total, just before I returned it I put 3 gallons of gas in it and I was still charged the gas charge, I don't think I should be charged it. The staff was friendly and the facility was very clean.

I drove 40 miles out of my way to rent a trailer that made it 20 miles before the bearing went. I took a day to move some furniture thinking that a trailer would be the best way to handle this. Apparently not. Now I have to rent a truck which cost 6 times as much and spend another day out of my schedule to do what I need to.

They were nice. But they gave me a furniture dolly instead of an appliance dolly like I asked. The truck also was on full but there is no way it was completely full. I drove 26 miles and some hoe had to fill 9 gallons of gas.

Everyone I dealt with was courtious and professional. Everything was great except the smell. There was a smell in the store and the same smell in the truck I rented. I don’t know for sure, but it reminded me of cigars.

Just a thought on pricing. If you charge .69 cents a mile, why do you have to pay for gas to refill? Should the cost of the gas be part of the .69 cents fee? My job pays less than that for mileage and it includes wear and tear, gasoline, and insurance cost. That cost is mandated by the federal government. Your fee is higher, does that not cover the cost of fuel usage as well?

My experience was ok there was a mess up the first day where I paid extra for 24hr access the charge came out but I did not have 24hr access. Then I was over charged for milage and the quoted price for the extra miles was quoted wrong I had to dispute the charge someone was supposed to call me back it's been two days and I still have not received a call back.

My experience in reserving the car hauler was pure hell, I encountered lots of issues on the phone. I reserved a hauler in Manchester, CT Saturday morning and received a text message late Saturday night confirming a later pick-up time in Hartford, CT. I called late Saturday night to a U-Haul Rep and he put me back into a phone index prompt. I called back and spoke to another Rep and she was more helpful but couldn't really help me and said I would have to call the scheduling dept the next morning. I called the scheduling folks Sunday morning and the female I spoke with was awesome and changed the pick-up location to Manchester, CT but a few hours later called back having to switch me back to the Hartford location because the hauler in Manchester was never properly placed into a repair status. The Rep was very apologetic and stated my credit card would be credited $50 for the mix-up. I picked up the hauler in Hartford Monday morning at 8:43am and returned it at 12:30pm, less than four hours later. The hauler worked perfectly and as I drove up to return it I was greeted by the same guy that helped me picking it up. He had me pull the hauler up to a spot where he uncoupled it from my truck and said I was all set to go. Later Monday night I received a text basically stating I haven't retuned the hauler yet and I called the number the was supplied in the text message. In speaking to the female Rep I found out that the guy that uncoupled the hauler never logged the hauler as being retuned. Thus, dealing with multiple phone calls totaling over two hours on the phone to simply rent a car hauler resulted in a not so pleasant experience. Positives: The female I spoke to Sunday morning was awesome. The staff at the Hartford location was great except the lack of logging the return. Negatives: The multiple phone calls. The lack of car haulers on the eastern part of CT available and the mishap in returning the hauler.
