We reserved a 15 foot truck and were driving 1000 miles 1 way. When we arrived to pick it up, we thought that a 10 foot truck might be sufficient. The girl at the counter said that a truck had been "assigned"to us and that we had no other choice in vehicles. There were about six 10 foot trucks and eight 15 foot trucks on the lot. She refused to tell me the age of the vehicle "assigned" to us or when it was last serviced. The truck was filthy inside! The seats and cupholders were thick with a sticky substance. It took about an hour and a whole container of Clorox wipes to make it tolerable. I feel that the customer service at pickup was was unacceptable as we are the customer! We had recently rented a u haul van from a different location and were allowed to see the interior of any of the vehicles on the lot and to choose which one we wanted. The Hattiesburg location was unacceptable and we would recommend that anyone in need of a moving truck try Penske or anyone else but uhaul.

Actually call to let me know the pick-up location had changed. My day was delayed by over thirty minutes due to driving to the first location only to be told to go somewhere else, to then have to wait in line because the place I was sent to was understaffed.

Thanks for eliminating the risk of bad customer service, because all you need is a mobile phone and you can do it yourself. Kudos Uhaul. How about giving a price break since you're not paying anything for customer's to do it by them self.

The girl seemed very helpful she released the wheel straps and I noticed the drivers side ramp was pulled out and she left while I removed my belongings from the cab. When I had hooked the chains to the frame they had a little slack but after releasing the strap it was too tight to remove which was my fault. I had to put the the tire strap back on to remove the chain. I got into the car ready to back off and decided to check the passenger side ramp to be sure it was straight. Good thing!! She had not pulled that one out. That could have been a catastrophe. My advice is to always check everything for yourself.

Rep had to ask 3 times how long I needed the rental. Rep did not acknowledge my presence as I arrived. Rep did not review equipment damage report or operational procedures. Rep was not customer service oriented. Received email stating trailer was not returned when in fact it was 18 hours prior to proper return location and acknowledged by phone rep prior evening. Obviously no one takes inventory of equipment in location yard.

Rental process was slow. In store representative had to make a reservation even though I was on site to rent right then. Then someone from u-haul called me about the reservation, after I had already left with the trailer. Check in process was also some what slower than expected. Probably cause only one person was manning the store, and there was a customer there before me.

The person I spoke with over the phone asked for all the information of the vehicle I would be towing, I gave it to him and the vehicle did not fit on the car hauler. Please inform customers of the size of the car hauler so they won’t waste there money like I did.

My truck had issues 500 miles from home. I was on the phone on HOLD for over one hour trying to get help on the nearest place to drop off the trailer because I couldn't tow it home safely. That was over 5 phone calls. Never got any help from anyone at U-HAUL! Took me 15 hours to limp back home with the trailer to drop it off so that in U-Hauls words " I would pay a substantial fee for not returning to the home location" PURE CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

The Uhaul person was helpful and I got in and on the road very quickly. The trailer was very easy to tow. I drove for several hours in heavy rain and was pleased to find the cargo trailer stayed dry inside. Thanks.

The cab of the truck had a strong smell of cigarette smoke even though the rule was not to smoke inside. We found an ashtray in the floorboard of the truck. Because of the strong smoke smell, my husband developed bronchitis and had to seek medical treatment after driving the truck for 6 hours. Even with the A/C running, the smell was overwhelming. Please clean the truck's interior before renting again if the previous user has smoked in it. Check the cab when it is returned and charge the smoker/driver a HUGE fine for the trouble they cause you and the next renter. With the cost of renting, customers do not deserve stinky trucks.

I told them I needed it about 2:30-3. My husband called with the payment then called me back to tell me 3:30. I got there at 3:10 to pick it up. there was a trailer there the size I needed but I could not have that one. the one I reserved had just left for an hour. I was gone 2 minutes. when I got back sitting in the parking lot I got a call it was ready. the one I got was there the whole time.not sure why I had to wait.

We got there to pick up the truck that was reserved for us and was told "they were missing a truck." I told the young lady (who was very nice) that that was not acceptable. I had people that I was paying by the hour to move us. We finally got a truck, (late and behind schedule all with having to pay our movers for being on time (1 hour out of pocket at 50.00 for 5 movers)) but the air did not work. (We did not know this until the truck was given to us). Living in South MS., air in a vehicle is a must! My husband had to drive that truck for 2 hours without air. We reserved 12 pads. Once we got to our house and opened the pads, they were all wet and smelled like mold. Needless to say, we could NOT use them. I could NOT put wet pads over my antique furniture that is valuable. I did call UHaul immediately to let them know about the air. I was told that there was NOT another truck available.... I also called back and complained about the pads being wet & moldy. Refund for pads would be appreciated. Refund for the hour that I had to paymy movers (50.00 total) would be appreciated.... and reimbursement for air NOT working would be an added bonus. Please know that we also rented a truck last Thursday and ran into NONE of the problems we had with this rental. Maureen Edwards

Raven (the general manager) displayed awesome customer service on today. I reserved a trailer and decided not to take the trailer but to instead use the UBox. Raven assisted me with getting a refund for the trailer, and getting set up for the ubox. She was very concerned and took time to understood my needs and my intentions, so that she was able to give me exactly what I needed. There were two other assosciates, a new guy whom I spoke with today, and a seasoned employee (lady) whom I spoke with two weeks ago. All were very helpful and informative. Had I not moved out of state, I would definitely use this Uhaul branch for all my moving, and towing needs. Once more, Raven Barnes is Awesome!!! I see why she is the General Manager.

I made a reservation online. when I got there, they said it was a different location. the truck did not have a tank of gas. the rate was supposed to be $19.95, but the bill says $79.00.
