Take your own USB plug to go into the cigarette lighter so you can charge your phone or electronic devices. Be aware the truck is advertised as water repellant, not water proof. I drove interstate through 4 hours of rain and there was a minimal amount of water on the truck floor. I would advise to elevate mattresses above the floor. Even if it is sat upright on a plank of wood. For me there was no damage and only a little dampness to the bottom of a couple of boxes and mattresses. Very pleased since I was aware the truck is not waterproof. Check the weather as this may be a factor.

They did not have a trailer ready at the location I reserve a month in advance. I had to travel 20 away to another location to pick a trailer up. The man who hooked up the trailer did not know what he was doing and left wires dangling so I ended up with no working lights on the trailer from South Carolina to Cape Coral Fl. witch caused my travel time restricted to day time driving only. It was a nightmare. Took my much longer to get where I needed to be.

The lock on the back of the truck was stuck so I couldn't use it. Someone was supposed to be at the location to check the truck out with but nobody was there.
I was assigned this location although another one was more convenient. I understand that isn't where the trailer was but this location was only open until 4pm and I needed a later pick up (like the location i originally chose).
1st of all you're charging me for equipment that wasn't even found in the truck & I called Uhaul Customer service 3 times asking where the equipment was & they told me I would recieve A credit for the Dali and the pads not being in the truck as well as a credit for the huge inconvenience which I don't see on this receipt that you're providing me! you're still charging me for something that you did not give me such as the Dolly and the Furniture pads along with rental fees for the equipment? Please refund me the appropriate amount and I would greatly appreciate a credit for the huge inconvenience that you caused me By wasting one hour of moving people that I hired waiting for me to get there because I had to call uhaul several times to find out where equipment was & having to move furniture & appliances without the Dolly and the furniture pads was extremely inconvenient!! I even broke my refrigerator & scratched up my furniture by not having the Dolly!! I would not recommend this place to anyone unless I receive some kind of compensation.
They can stay open past 1 p.m. every other location is open till 7 p.m. and they are not.
He gave me a price for 20 miles. He told me that when you turn in the truck we'll see how many miles were used. I tuned it in only using 14 miles and I paid the same price . I used on 2 gallons of gas , which is only 2.49 a gallon. He charged me $14. 00 ! What a rip-off!
It was a very strange location that did not feel safe. I would never recommend anyone pick up a uhaul from here.
U haul customer service is a garbage . My pick up location got changed and nobody called or email me to notify me and when i called and asked the representative why she gave me a silly excuse that y haul was closed when i put the order in the night before but they opened at 7 am today . i went to the inmitial location by 9:30 am and the only way i knew they had changed the location was because i called u haul customer service . All the representative said was that there is nothing she can do about it unacceptable bad customer service.
I reserved a 15 foot truck to pick up in Edison NJ at 630pm on Oct 27. The drop off was Glen Rock. Three hours before i was to pick up the truck i received a text that the location changed but more importantly the truck was now only 10 foot. I was furious and I am still furious. I wasted 5 hours trying to get what i needed I am appalled. The agent said that you can change this 24 hours in advance - which still would have been bad but 3 hours prior? They finally found one 30 min from my house and i had to pay an additional $8 in tolls because it was so far from my house. I want that taken off of my bill.
Location of pickup changed the day before pickup to a location 20 minutes further away. This location DID NOT have the equipment which I had ordered and pre-PAID FOR available. I spent more than an hour on the phone with customer service, multiple errors from CS agents resulted in disconnections. Finally told to drive the truck to another location to try to get equipment. Told by employees at Elizabeth location that they couldn't give me equipment I had paid for. I had to buy furniture pads out of pocket. NEVER received any dollies. Almost ruined my move entirely. I am very very very dissatisfied with my uhaul experience. I deserve a refund AT LEAST for the equipment which I never received and the pads I had to buy out of pocket. This is truly unacceptable service from a well-established company.
The Uhaul rep at this location provided excellent customer service and was very professional. With rent from this location again.
