it was closed on sunday when i dropped off. i was precisely careful to return with 1/4 tank of gas. i received email confirmatin that they read it differently and charged me $40 for a gallon of gas. i will never rent from UHaul again. this is ridiculous.

Friendly and easy process except we did reserve a dolly on the phone when making initial reservation and when we got there they did not have any regular dollys, just the appliance dolly so we had to pay more to rent that one.

later opening hours on week days - ended up having the trailer for two days instead of just one because I could not get it back by 5pm. It would have been ideal to pick up at 6pm and return at 6pm rather than at 4pm.

It would be nice if shop would post hours of operation outside office. There is an unmarked mail slot that I guess can be used for after hours drop off. It isn't clearly marked. It would be helpful if this site clearly marked hours of operation as well as where to place after hours key drop off. I'm glad it all worked out.

Customer service is not friendly. The person running the location didn't know he was to expect me and tried to turn me away beacause he was trying to leave early. Finally he went and looked in the system and found I was supposed to be there.

I have dealt with this guy a few times over the years, every time the guy is negative, and I have heard this from other people as well. If I had to describe this person it would be as follows, "A SOUR PIECE OF SHIT" other than dealing with this guy your service is great.

rental was a complete rip off. i had to drive to sparks and back, then to truckee and back. the odometer indicated 178 miles which is almost impossible for these trips and i pay $206 total. i will never rent from u-haul again (it's not the location's fault).

Uhaul is horrible. I made a reservation to return the truck to Incline and was told by the 800 service that Incline would not accept the truck and I would need to return the truck a minimum of 30 miles away and Uhaul would not drive me back to Incline or pay for the gas. I specifically chose Uhaul so I could return the truck to Incline, Uhaul accepted the reservation and did not tell me that Incline would not accept the vehicle. Luckily, the location in Incline understood my problem and accepted my truck. However, the supervisor at the Uhaul 800 number was unprofessional, rude and should be fired. Uhaul needs to meet its contractual agreements. When you rent a truck to go to a certain location and are aware that the location was full and would not accept the vehicle, you are committing fraud.

On March 15th when my wife arrived to drop off the trailer we had rented, your Incline village NV. employee was immediately rude to her. He disrespectfully wagged his finger at her and had an incredibly hostile interchange. He stated that we needed to call in advance before dropping off the trailer, when that is directly contradictory to what the lady in Richmond said. The Richmond employee stated that "we were all set and could drop off the trailer even if no one was there" because she had completed the paper work over the internet. Somewhere in there we received bad information; however it is not my wife’s or my own fault that there was a discrepancy in trailer drop off information. Furthermore if your employee in incline village isn't professional enough to accommodate a customer politely even if there is a mistake that is a serious short coming in itself. After my wife dropped off the trailer she called me and sounded noticeably upset due to the rude treatment she had received. So I called the Incline location to try and sort out what happened, and over the phone I was immediately met with hostility. I asked to speak with the manager, and immediately realized the gentleman I was talking to was the same one who was rude to my wife earlier in the day. The individual was totally unapologetic and every time I tried to bring up a logical point all I was met with was the repeated phrase "did you read your contract?" referring to the fact that we were supposed to call before dropping off the trailer. When I informed him that another store had given us contrary information he was totally unreceptive and his demeanor became even ruder. The conversation originally intended to sort out why an employee of yours had been so rude to my wife, escalated into an outright argument over the phone. This kind of customer service is completely shameful. I have used your company 3 times in the past 5 years. There are numerous other options in the self moving industry however up until this point I considered yours to be the best. This experience of dealing with your disrespectful employee has left a sour taste in my mouth and represented your company in a terrible light. My wife is a very friendly and polite lady, not to mention resilient; so when she calls me and is upset that a disgruntled employee of a company I have PAID to receive a service from has been rude enough to make her feel bad I find it completely deplorable. The man who works this locations is rude, obnoxious, and not helpful in the slightest bit. If I owned uhaul, I would reconsider having his business ruin the uhaul name.
