I question the maintenance on the motorcycle trailer I rented. From the moment I left the lot it felt like it was putting an unreasonable load on my tow vehicle. Although I was using a small, hybrid SUV, the trailer cut my mileage in half, from 42 mpg to 23 mpg for the 540 miles I towed it. I suspect dry or over-tight wheel bearings were the cause. Otherwise, an excellent experience.
