The first location I went where I was supposed to get my truck didn’t have the truck. The clerk told me “the guy who was supposed to return your truck yesterday never came back”. Yet, he didn’t think to call me and inform me on the day of. On your website it said if the truck is not there I’d get $50.. never did. I was sent to a second location to get a truck, where the clerk wouldnt give me my keys for 20 minutes because the truck number/listing “wasn’t in green!” But was in black font. Even though I showed him the confirmation number and clearly the truck numbers matched he wouldn’t give me the key until he got ahold of a manager on the phone. After already not getting the first truck I was highly anxious and running behind schedule so I didn’t appreciate being given such a hard time. After a horrible experience with U Haul on my last move 4 years ago, and now this awful and stressful experience, I will go with another company if I have to move in the future.

Kevin HBefore I begin my list of what was really bad about this rental, I want to say that the people at this location were polite and did their best. The issue is 100% on Uhaul! I have rented probably a dozen units from uhaul in the past 3 years and this was by far the worst experience I have had. First, I ordered moving pads and this location did. Not have them. We had to go to another location to get them. The truck was filthy on the inside. There were cigarette ashes stuck in spilled beverage all over the cup holder area and the cab was very dirty. The check engine light light was on the whole time and it ran rough. Obviously not maintained as it should be. Finally, on my reservation I asked to return the unit to a different location closer to my destination but when I picked it up they had me returning it to the same location and told me there could be an extra cost. I was forced to drive 10 miles out of my way when the original confirmation clearly stated I would return it to a different location. I am not sure what is happening with uhaul but I rented 2 units this past weekend, this truck and a 12’ trailer and in both cases the location where I picked up did not have the equipment I ordered and in both cases the return location was screwed up. I have been a loyal customer but based on this experience I am going to investigate other options for my future rental needs. I realize that uhaul has a bit of a monopoly on these types of rentals but I think you are slipping. Sad.
