Seems like both locations were having problems with their systems and it wasn’t anything to do with their end. It was uhaul. It would help the employees do their jobs and less frustrating for them if uhaul would not have the system down.

I could not get the trailer that I wanted at the Copperfield location. U Haul changed my pickup location 4 times. I could not pickup the trailer when I needed it because the Saums location did not open until 9 am and the outside staff was not available until noon. The inside staff was understanding and helpful but the overall experience was not good.

Brittany was amazing and so helpful while renting the vehicle and her customer service was above and beyond. The attendant at this location was helpful and managed to find me a rental on a busy day. We agreed that we would change the drop off location and the make it a one way trip at no extra charge due to the problems U-Haul had in securing a trailer and after sending me to a few different locations.

I had a reservation which made the check out and in very simple

I reserved a small truck online - and received a confirmation- but when I went to pick it up, they didn’t have any of the size I reserved available. I was given a replacement/upgrade at no charge, however, it was double the size I needed and double the gas price to refill at the end of the day. The lady at the Saums Rd location in Katy told me to park the truck outside the locked property gate, where she met me as I was exiting the truck. She took the keys from me right then and said she’d email me a receipt. I had already cleaned up the few items that were mine (water and Gatorade bottles) and tied them in a single plastic bag. She said not to worry about it because we were outside the locked gate of the property and there weren’t any trash cans. An hour or so later, I received my receipt by email... with a $25 cleaning fee. When I called to explain that the lady who met me outside the gate told me the tied up plastic bag was fine to leave behind, the manager said it was still a breech of contract and then hung up on me. I will never rent from UHaul again— and that manager should NOT have a job that directly interacts with people!

When we picked up the truck, it had VERY little gas in it, the red light was on the gauge. This is unacceptable to have to drive away and immediately look for a place to fill up when planning to get to packing right away. Also, we ordered a dozen moving pads to protect our furniture, and we were told they had ZERO. Again, unacceptable as we were planning to be able to get to packing the truck right away. The cab had trash in it. It is clear that this truck was not prepped for our arrival. Disappointing as we scheduled it weeks in advance.

Worst moving experience with uhaul, after my reservation was cancelled I was sent to 3 different location with the last one having the wrong truck size that I requested.

This was by far my worst experience with U-Haul. I will never and I repeat never use this company again! I got sucked into this app check out and rental agreement only to be screwed over! I was supposed to pick my truck up at 8am for a move that was happening at 9am, the entire app worked correctly until I received the code to get my keys out of the lock box. After trying all the boxes a multiple of times I finally decided I would call the trouble shoot number on the app / after multiple and I mean multiple phone calls / voicemails over at least an hour period to someone by the name of Ben with no answer. I received a phone call back from him only to hang up upon my answer and then send he remaining phone calls to voicemail. The only other trouble shoot was to wait for the office to open which was at noon?!? So needless to say after being on hold with customer service for over yet another hour I finally got the correct combination and was able to get the truck. I lost my movers and my deposit thanks to the two hour delay and had to move myself, I will be contacting customer service for my 50$ reservation guarantee and will never and I repeat never be using UHaul again!
