I originally booked the vehicle from a U-Haul dealer. (Rock Automotive) Subsequently I was called by a woman asking me to do the rental through another dealer (Tim's Collision) telling me "They're a new U-Haul dealer and we'd like to help them get started." She offered me a lower per mile rate so I said yes. I regret that. I did self check in. Front door locked. No one there to give me keys. Fortunately a single Tim's Collison employee was able to call someone. I spoke to the gentleman on the employees phone. The man told me he would be there in 10 minutes. He walked up 20 minutes later. Then he couldn't find the keys. He called someone else. He started asking for my license, which I had uploaded. I presented my license but the computer and printer needed to be booted up. Another gentleman showed up and they located the keys. I was asked to check the truck to verify condition and mileage. Upon starting the truck, the mileage flashed then an error message "Service Deterrent system" along with the lock/vehicle icon. I returned to the office and was told to ignore the warnings as a previous renter had lost the key and the new key needed to be programmed. The warnings remained the entire day. The vehicle ran fine and I completed my project, refueled, and did the self return which was great. Note, my interactions with the 2 gentlemen were friendly and professional. They were very nice. Just not good at renting vehicles. I won't be renting from Tim's Collison in the future.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkThey took a 120 hold on my card and then charged me 80 on my card and took a total of 200 from my card.
Amaya RShowed up for my 11am pick-up on a Saturday. The (only) guy there, had no idea how to handle U-Haul transactions. Since the place is just a pick-up spot and it's a business for vehicle repairs, he was just there doing his job. He was nice, but there was no one present for the U-Haul pick-up. I had to wait about 30min for some other guy to show up. After about 45min, or more, I finally got to take the van I rented. And that was after that other guy who showed up tried to figure out how to fill out stuff on the PC, even though I had already filled out all of that stuff when I reserved the van. Oh, and I had rented a hand-truck (aka dolly), but there was no hand-truck in the van. There were some other people there in the same pick-up situation as me too. Jumping forward to when I dropped the van off, it was a lot better. There was a different young guy there who knew how to get everything done quickly when I had to pay, and he even made sure I didn't get charged for the hand-truck that was never there. He was super nice too. Anyway, for that last guy, I'd give it 5 stars for him alone, but for the overall experience there that had nothing to do with him, I'd give it one or 2 stars, so I figured I'd give it 3 stars because of the good part and because it could've been way worse. I hate to be this way, especially when the last guy was really nice and knew what he was doing, but I would avoid picking up a U-Haul from there, if you want it on time or want any additional equipment like a hand-truck, because it's just that, a pick-up place that handles repairs on U-Hauls and regular cars, not a U-Haul facility where U-Haul employees and equipment is stored.
