Van I rented was dirty....not washed. Mileage was not accurate, it was two miles more than when I drove off the lot. Poor customer service. This place sucks!

The facility is really run-down and smells terrible. I was okay with the older guys' dryness and sense of humor, but my husband thought he was a terrible person. The truck was old. The transmission totally shot. I will never go back there, nor refer anyone. The only great thing was upon the return the younger guy admitting us was incredibly nice and a super great guy. Very appreciative of having someone like him on your staff.

Really my only issue was receiving a moving truck with 1/4 tank of fuel. To me its frustrating to rent a vehicle and have to immediately run out and fuel it up, maybe this is normal but it is really inconvenient. What also makes this frustrating is that I was not sure how much fuel I would need so I added a 1/2 tank for $85 and when I returned the truck it had just under 3/4 of a tank so I was out at least $70.00, I did not receive any credit. If the truck was rented full then before I returned it I could fill it up and my fuel cost would have been much less then having to guess on the day of pickup.

I made a reservation for 9 AM as it was the earliest available time. I was in a time crunch because I had some stuff to do later in the day. Showed up at 9 AM and the truck wasn't ready. They were expecting someone else to return a truck but could not reach that individual. The owner told me that they were going to try to work something out with me and provide the $50 credit per their guarantee, since the equipment was not available at the time of the reservation. The first option he gave to me was that he would give me a truck, but I would have to return it by 11:30 which was only a 2 hour time frame at this point. His second solution was to provide me with a truck coming later at 1:30 pm, which was unacceptable. Eventually, the truck provided to me was one that had a defective lock on the driver-side door. By the time we left with the truck, it was 9:40 AM, 40 minutes after my original reservation. I came back and returned the truck at the end of the day and wanted to discuss the $50 credit. The owner told me that he could not give me a $50 credit because he ended up fixing the situation. The best he could do is give me a $25 credit (the guarantee on the U-haul website states: "When you make a truck or trailer reservation, we guarantee to provide you with the equipment size, location and pick up time, as agreed. Should you not receive the equipment size, location and pick up time you agreed to, U-Haul will pay you $50." ) He eventually did provide me with the $50 guarantee due to him being distracted with a female customer and performing the return at the same time. I don't believe he had any intention of providing me with the full credit as our conversation prior to the credit was him telling me "what's fair is fair." I am a repeat customer at this location, but I have zero intention of going back.

The van needs washing especially the outside...very dirty. No consideration / no discount extended to us. We travelled hundreds of miles - we didnt get any mile for a discount even when we returned the van more gas then when we got it. Very stingy company! You want to improve your service - hoping this feedback isnt useless for your objective. This is an honest opinion.

The fuel when I got it was completely wrong, so the guy said he'd correct it and I ended up being charged for the missing fuel that he said he'd take care of. On top of that, I checked out st 12:44 and returned st 12:49 (5 minutes difference) and was charged another full day. I was extremely disappointed with the service or lack thereof.

This is the 2nd time that i was overcharged for gas. The system for "eyeballing: the gas gauge is not correct. I understand the 30.00 refuel fee, if I dont put gas in. BUT....If you look at the mileage, I drove 9 miles. 9 miles did NOT use 1/8 of a tank, therefore I was overcharged on the gallons as well. At most, 2 gallons, and thats 5 miles per gallon? At that rate, my fuel charge shoul;d be $10 dollars, not over $30- . Same things happened last week when I rented the same type of truck. Its not good business, and I would normally have complained but talking to the guys who check in and out, its not worth my time to argue. Im moving on to Budget, right next door.

Although I did pre-check out, their computer system kept going in circles in which they ended up starting from the beginning. It voided everything that I submitted beforehand so my pick up experience would go smoother. Instead, it made it more stressful.
