Should inform customer to put only amount the amount of gas back in that you started with. Received with 3/4 of a tank. We filled it and called for a possible credit. Rudely told in the contract states fill only with started amount. Will not use your company again, poor customer service!!

the truck we picked up was below acceptable. We needed to get the move done on Friday so we took the truck but the windshield was cracked from one side to the other. It was not line of sight but was unsafe and distracting. due to the cold weather i was also worried about it cracking or shattering while we used the truck. The truck only had 30K miles but the transmission was far from acceptable. It felt like 1st gear was gone. Had to rev the engine to back up the truck on a slope.

Truck was dropped off same day at 5pm and keys put in drop box. This location charged me can additional 14.00 which I already paid when picked up. They claimed truck came back next day at 12:30 pm. If that was the case I would have gone inside . I'm very upset about this extra charge. I've left several messages for them today because no one answers the phone and have still not received a call back

Attendant charged me for an additional 1/2 mile over the available free 38 miles. Claims he has no control over the added charge. Also, tank was a tad lower than when truck was picked up. I had just added gas sufficient to bring to the correct level. I strongly believe the reading of the tank gauge can be distorted and is subject to interpretation. I was charged an additional $8 for the gas shortage which is excessive.

Charged me a $22 wrong drop off fee, called moving the trucks “u-haul hell”. Josh from my intial location( Master Secure Storage) was helpful in finding locations closer to my new home, and stated it didn’t matter where the truck was returned. This employee from Life Storage was rude and had little customer service skills.

The rep here tried really hard to do damage control, even contacting the GM to ask him questions on how to best resolve this situation given the fact that they had NO information from the pick up location.

Rating is on overall U-Haul experience with all locations involved. Lakewood was good service because they had the truck and I was able to rent it before they closed for the day. The rest of the service was below poor...left me stranded and to my own devices. Original rental was a nightmare at Jordan road location. Went in Thursday after lengthily discussion it was agreed that pick up of a 10 ft. Box truck would be there at 4pm on Saturday. When my son in law arrived to pick up the truck...no truck...no record or rental. Said woman I spoke to was in Lakewood location. She tried to call there as did I...no one picked up the phone. When I checked the details of my confirmation email it said pick up 10am Saturday at broadway location in Point Pleasant. First of all we were all at work at 10 am Saturday morning. How or why would we have rented there and for that time. When the woman on Jordan road called them she said they were closed for the day. I discussed that I really needed the truck for Sunday but was told would be better pick up after work Saturday return Sunday evening or even Monday before 8am. Women I spoke with was blond there was also an older gentleman walking around (Thursday at Jordan Road location). My rental was to be $81. With no satisfaction from them . We resorted to driving to Lakewood location that was open til 6pl. It was now 5pm. Gig there door locked...sign...we will return 5:15. Man returned with potential storage unit rental. They left. He waited on us courteously and efficiently. Did push insurance...which I took just because I wanted to get out and was grateful I got the truck in the first place. He said they switch time and rental pickup places on customers all the time. Agreed was terrible and recommended I file a complaint with you. So here it is. No apology, no phone calls alerting me to change of rental arrangement just sent off too bad so sad for you. No care that I had people lined up to help me first thing Sunday morning and needed the truck. No very good business practices by U-Haul representatives and their agents.

I called to confirm my reservation (as prompted in one of the many texts and emails from Uhaul) and I left a message on the voicemail to confirm that I would be in to pick up the truck as planned. When I arrived the mechanic seemed surprised that I was there. He opened the truck. Gave me the key and Confirmed by phone that I could use blankets. Period. No paperwork. No signature. No mileage taken. Nothing. When I dropped the truck off in Lakewood, also as outlined in my reservation, the folks seemed surprised. The desk agent at the storage facility was great and made several calls to try to straighten the issue out. But that is time and money away from my life. I see by my Amex bill that someone decided that this time wasting should cost me $135. And a second charge for $3+ was also received. No call. No communication. Just a couple of charges. I could dispute the charge. But I’d rather just end this relationship and rent from the other guys next time. This whole experience was poorly executed on your part, Uhaul.
