Uhaul was in terrible condition, wore out motor, loose passenger front wheel almost fell off and charges .69 a mile plus a daily fee?


Excellent customer service at rental location, Check in and check out was fast and efficient. Great equipment. Safety warning stickers were very helpful.

I didn't purchase insurance when I made reservations, not did it shows on on the contract estimated charges. When I returned the truck, I was charged $10 insurance. I asked why I was charged insurance, the gentleman said it's mandatory, Really??!! Why not you charge me insurance when I had accident on the road, but when I returned the car that nothing damaged. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. Shady business, shame on you U-Hall!! Get your associate better trained. You lost my business forever, U-Hall!!

The van that was rented to me was dented and had multiple impacts of prior damage. The lady that checked me out in Laredo put no prior damage on the paperwork. I did take photos at the location prior to leaving in case anything comes from it. Also, the lady who checked me out was very rude and she advised the 9' van was available for my trip from TX to GA I even have photos where the van stickers on the windshield say “in town or one way” but once I arrived in GA I was told that this is an in town only rental. I went to 5 separate places in GA before someone was able to help. I called U-Haul customer service and spoke to 3 separate people which only one of them was polite. The first two ladies were very rude the first one didn't want to speak with me because I didn't hear something she said and I asked her to repeat herself so she just placed me on hold and I was xfered to a different rude person who gave me a fake address to a U-Haul location, I showed up to the location given and it was an empty lot. I asked for a copy of my call and nobody to this day has gotten back to me regarding this. Once I called U-Haul back the last man I spoke to was nice and gave a good address to go return this U-Haul. After 4 hrs of driving that day because of lack of customer service skills from U-Haul and being misled by your customer service, I finally made it to the location and had to pay double the amount for the rental due to miscommunication on U-Haul's end. Online I selected “optional” for my drop off and also placed in the GA address I was going to be moving to and it approved it online. I am not sure why it would take my GA address from Laredo TX if this is an in town only rental?? I also requested this be disputed and the U-Haul rep advised someone would call me within 48 hrs to discuss my dispute and nobody has called back. I have so far talked to 5 people moving cross country and they have all canceled with U-Haul because of my experience. I will not be a returning customer. I do expect a follow up email in regards to all of this since I still have yet to get a call back regarding getting my money back for something that was not my fault.

I tried to call several times to let them know I was running late. I could not get anyone to answer the phone. They finally called me to see if I was still going to pick up the trailer. I told them I tried calling and they seemed to know about the phone problem...

The rear of the store is cluttered, and a little small for uHaul's. That being said, the staff was helpful.


Need to speed up the service.
