I had rented the truck out for 24hrs, but I dropped off the truck early the next morning at the request of the rental site because the truck was scheduled to be rented out again at 9:30am. I got a call at 8:30 saying they were having trouble running my card. I checked my account and my card was fine. I called them back and they berated me—threatened to charge me more money cause I technically hadn’t “returned it yet” and told me I was screwing over the person who was renting it next. At 9:30 my card miraculously worked. I’m not claiming any kind of conspiracy, but I definitely think it could’ve been handled with more tact.

I was told to bring back the truck by 8:30 PM because it is reserved for 6 AM rental in the next morning. I receive a call at 5:30 PM demanding the truck to be returned and she ends up hanging up on me. Even though the truck was returned with gas refueled, they still charge me for extra 2.5 gallons. I would definitely go somewhere else next time.

The truck was filthy and had a low tire warning on that we were told to ignore. And, because of the warning, we couldn't see our mileage! Go somewhere else for your U-Haul needs!

Employees were rude . I needed information on the exact measurements of a vehicle so I could ensure I would reserve the right vehicle for my needs. I phoned the store and asked if someone could quickly measure the length of the bed of a vehicle (they are parked 10 yards from the door of the store. The first person I spoke to was so thick it took 30minutes to explain the concept of actual measurements, even then he could not figure it out. A girl from the store then called me back and told me “we,re a pool store, we don’t have time to measure a vehicle. You will have to come here and do it yourself.” Not acceptable! If this place wants to benefit from being a U-Haul franchisee then they should be willing to do a minimal amount of work! The girl was super rude and obnoxious. If it weren’t for the location, which is convenient for me I would never have used them. They were the worst! The van also was filthy and smelled like an ashtray. I was miserable having to be in the vehicle. Never again. Will definitely Yelp about how bad this experience was.

Treat your customers as you would like to be treated. Train your employees who are dealing with the public to not insult the customers Teach your team members to treat customers not as if you're doing them a favor by allowing them to rent a U-Haul.

The van I rented was very dirty. I could barely see out of the windows. At minimum, the front windshield should have been wiped down prior to releasing the vehicle to a customer.

The truck I rented had some dings and scratches that had clearly not been marked. When I first went to pick up the truck I filled out all the paperwork and was simply given the keys. There wasn't a walkthrough to ensure all damage had been marked. Upon returning the truck, there was different person working the counter. She went out and checked the gas gauge and did a once over the truck to see if there was any damage on the truck. She can in and said it looked like I had put some damage on the truck. I corrected her and said I had not put any damage on the truck. She asked if a walkthrough was done beforehand and I said no. She the preceded to say that every truck has all their damage marked but that even if I had put the damage on there, I had the insurance so it didn't matter. I know for a fact that no damage came to that truck while I was driving it. Maybe they missed the damage the last time the truck was returned and are trying to put in claims for the damge through their insurance company now.

I frequently rent trucks from uhaul and am fairly used to the process of renting a truck when you purchase the insurance. Upon completing the rental agreement, the employee assisting me made an unusually big deal about let me know the top wasn't covered by the insurance and to really check the truck for damage. When I went outside to look at the truck, the top was scraped, scuffed and dented pretty much all the way around with very minimal amounts of damage indicators on the truck. I asked the employee whether this damage was important and she said she would mark some of it and I was good to go. Having never had an issue before, I took her word for it. I drove approximately 10 miles down the same large street they are located on (5 miles each way) for the entire trip. The middle school I work for is on the same street and we were loading band equipment. Upon returning, the same employee immediately told me that the top of the uhaul (the roof) had damage that was not there previously. Knowing that I definitely did not hit or scrape anything, I immediately refuted her claim. After approximately 30 minutes of debating, looking at cameras in their facility, and having an employee climb on top of the uhaul, it was determined I did not cause the damage and it was there previously. I was VERY concerned that the employee immediately knew where to look for this "damage." When we observed the truck before renting, it was parked in a way that this damage would have been IMPOSSIBLE to see (need to be at least 15- 20 ft away on the passenger side to see it on top of the truck) It absolutely felt like she was trying to intentionally charge me for damage that she previously knew was there.

They don't allow parking on the premises, so you have to find street parking in the area, which is often 2 hour or 3 hour limited.

Horrible experience the dolly I rented was not put in the back of the truck. I had to go back to the location and put the refrigerator dolly in my personal vehicle. And all I got was a apology it was my fault U did t check to see if the dolly was in the truck.
