How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe location I originally chose was guaranteed. I got a call a few hours later that the truck I reserved was not available, and I had to drive to another location 10 mins further away. Then, the U-Haul app glitched and I was not able to properly pick it up with the mobile pick up process. I had to reach out to support multiple times to gain access to the keys. Once I could finally get into the truck and turned it on, the gas tank was completely empty. And the windshield wipers were broken. So I reached out to support again. They told me they couldn’t assign me to another truck. They told me to wait 30 mins for the shop nearby to open for the day, and only Mr Lube could assign me another truck (???). I finally called the support line, explained the situation, and was finally reassigned to another truck that had gas. This entire process took an hour. I’m extremely disappointed in U-Haul. What a chaotic experience on top of what’s already an incredibly stressful endeavour: moving. I’ll be pursuing the $50 guarantee that haul promises when making a reservation. No more U-Haul for me, it’s not worth the stress.
ELISE MGoof at the clerk cancelled my reservation after already charged me 137 Canadian dollars saying that card was declined.
