How U-Haul Reviews WorkI had a scheduled pickup at 8:30 on 8/29/26. I called the day before to confirm and was told I was all set. I arrived the next morning to pick-up the truck, and was told the U-haul attendant would not be in until 10, so I had to come back again. I also reserved and paid for furniture pads and none were in the truck. I returned the truck at 4:30 same day, but did not get the receipt until the next morning. I was charged for 2 days of safe mover coverage, furniture pad rental, and truck rental. I called the location where I rented the truck to rectify the bill and was told the supervisor would call me back next day. I received no call back. I would not rent from this location again.
Jerry JThe truck itself was fine. The app, however, did not work for initial pick up nor return. No photos were able to be uploaded through the app, we had to contact customer service to proceed. There were no bungees nor dolly available in the truck. The zip ties on the felt pads were already broken and we did not use them. Bad experience comparable to my other U-haul rentals.
Talia FU-Haul could begin by being transparent about their costs! One employee told me that to rent a 15 foot moving truck would cost approximately $1350 while apparently the cost was really over $1900. I asked where I could have gone to see that price, I did not receive a straight answer. I also turned the truck in one day early and was told that I would receive a discount on the total cost by doing so only to find that once again I was deceived. Rather, I was given the customer service phone number to U-Haul. We all know how those phone calls go:(
