U-Haul’s system was down for an hour when I went to try to pick up my truck. Couldn’t get ahold of a representative. Absolutely ridiculous. I was on a very tight schedule and U-Haul’s unreliability caused many problems and headaches.

When I booked through 1-800-GO-UHAUL, the representative assured me I could pick up the truck after hours and everything would be ready. When I arrived, the store owner told me I needed to come inside. After reviewing my reservation, he indicated it had been set up as a one-way trip and that he couldn't change it. When I asked whether there was a drop-off location closer to my destination, he dismissed the question entirely and proceeded to cancel my online reservation and recreate it manually. I then asked about the deposit I had already paid and whether I would be charged a second one. He confirmed I would, adding that U-Haul would refund the original within a few days — presented as if it were a non-issue and my only option. He quoted the new reservation at $103 based on my 40-mile estimate. When I pushed back, the price dropped to $78. My original app estimate had been $72. When I asked about the discrepancy, he said he had no idea and couldn't do anything about it. I signed reluctantly and hoped for the best. The return the following day was straightforward, and my final charge of $69.95 was actually lower than estimated — so no complaint there. However, I noticed a second charge of approximately $72 that held against my account for 24 hours before falling off. I had the buffer to absorb it, but most people don't have an extra $70 sitting idle for days due to a billing process that should have been handled more transparently from the start. My concerns are threefold: the after-hours pickup promise was not honored, the reservation was handled poorly at the counter with no clear explanations, and the double-charge practice was never disclosed upfront.
Timothy BLocation is a carry out / smoke & vape shop. Only one person on site and he rewrote the contract instead of using the original reservation and missed the previous pad order and previously identified drop off location. He indicated to me he didn't know how to hook up trailers and wanted me to do it. I told him that he was responsible to connect the trailer to the hitch. I had to oversee and make sure the hitch was tightened enough on the ball, that the chains didn't drag on the ground, as well as plug in the trailer wiring to the plug mounted in plain site on the car hitch. In my opinion, this location is unqualified to be a U-Haul dealer and is a legal/liability risk to U-Haul.

Jeff HPickup time was 8:00AM. No one was there until 8:15. Had to hitch up the trailer myself. Inside floor of trailer was covered in mud. No one checked the lights. Employee was rude upon returning trailer.
